Is it just me or is this really, really awful? This exposes her absolutely dreadful voice even more than 'So Yesterday'. It also sounds kinda like a sped-up version of 'A new day has come' too, it has really similar lyrics.
I heard her doing a song with lyrics about maths a while ago, it sounded better than this. Weak chorus, but really good bridge. She so should've gone with that.
I bet this flops in the UK. I really can't understand her appeal, but 'So yesterday' did OK here (#9) cos it was a likeable enough little song and she promoted like crazy.

It's better than "So Yesterday" which is not saying much, but I can't get past her vocals.

Compared to "Why Not" and "So Yesterday," this song is good. But, that [obviously] doesn't say much. It's listenable, but I don't like the song.
Also, Hilary seriously needs to fire her songwriters. The lyrics to all her songs sound so contrived with dumb lines (ie: "when the light is off, it isn't on" and "going out is always better than staying in"). A kindergartener could probably write those songs.

I also agree with the "A New Day Has come" comparison. The only thing about this song that is not as bad as "So Yesterday" is that she's not trying to come across as a rocker-chick.

I think it's mor mature and I think her vocals are a lot better in this song than they are in "So Yesterday."

I really like this song and I really like Hillary Duff. :) At least she is not cheap and sleazy like Britney.

Her vocals may be weak, but the songwriting and production is top notch. That sums up most of the album, as well as this song.

There have been multiple topics created about this swanky, funky-fresh song.

"So Yesterday" was co-written by:
L.Christy, G.Edwards, C.Midnight, S.Spock
So, nope.

Ok, I admit that Hilary is the cheesiest, most manufactured pop artist to come about since...I don't know who, and she definitely replaces Britney and J.Lo as the worst pop singer out there, but her song is catchy. (it is a pure pop song, after all) I can see it definitely making top 10. The pop markets eat up this type of music like candy.

"So Yesterday" was co-written by:
L.Christy, G.Edwards, C.Midnight, S.Spock
So, nope. In other words, more of the same from the Matrix.

So, nope. In one of her interviews she said she changed the line from "Don't flip the bird that's already flown away" to "I'm just a bird I've already flown away" because she said she couldn't sing about flipping the bird to someone heh.

That reminds me of Mikaila changing lines to "So In Love With Two" to make it more deep!

Well........she can't sing (that's a given).....however, she manages to make her songs catchy & radio friendly. If she wasn't so big on the big screen & the TV screen.......she'd be nowhere on the pop charts. So I think that just as long as her movie career picks up steam, her singing career will do the same (geez.....doesn't this sound so much like J. Lo )

"Come Clean" is not bad... but that part where she sings "Ooohh... I'm coming clean..." makes me cringe...

Um, I kinda changed my mind. The song has really grown on me. I kinda love it now. Whoops! I still think she has an appallingly poor voice though, and it's very off-putting. Singing is a bog-standard thing any singer should be able to do...

That's like Avril substituting "preppy clothes" for "stupid clothes" and saying she wrote "Complicated".

this song is good, now shut up. nobody can tell anybody to shut up because we happen to disagree with the fact that the song "is good" (which i totally disagree with, it's horrible, the video for it is atrocious as well)

I really can't understand her appeal. Because all the wee ones are over Britney and want to feel mature, so they latch on to Hilary like a friggin barnacle. I bet her sophomore album flops. She lip synchs and is only well known for her looks and because of Lizzie Mcguire.

Don't forget that pathetic exposure Disney gives her (which seems to be unbarably annoying after watching Disney for an hour)
