Is the release of "Take My Breath Away" costing "With You" weeks at number one?
I think if they held off the release of TMBA, With You would still have it's bullet would probally spend an extra week beating out Britney for #1.

Once you get to #1 there's not really much point in keeping it there for umteen weeks in a row. It just makes people sick of the artist and the song.

Yes, but that's not going to stop the label from saying that With You is/was the #1 song in the country. I don't think it was all that great an idea, but meh.

"With You" has already been called a #1 single, on VH1's "Best Week Ever".

It's probably a good idea, if it takes off it'll keep the album selling, cos tere'll coem a point when people who want it for 'With You' will already have it.
It MAY cost her a top ten on the hot 100 though, which would have been a nice achievement.

I agree, I think that they should have held off on its release.

Without a commercial single or significant play on other formats, it couldn't have reached the top 10 on Billboard anyway.

"With You" was lucky to get into the Top 10, let alone #1, and it wouldn't have stayed there any longer with or without the release of the pathetic cover of "Take My Breath Away".
