Do you think that after she's finished releasing singles from and promoting her current album, "In The Zone", that Britney could release a "Greatest Hits" album around mid 2005 or so?
She would have about 17 singles from the last 4 albums to put on it and she could include a further 4 new songs and a DVD?
I reckon that would sell really well.

Sure. But I'd only buy the DVD version.

She could definitely do this.
1. ...Baby One More Time 2. Sometimes 3. (You Drive Me) Crazy [The Stop! Remix] 4. From The Bottom of My Broken Heart 5. Oops!...I Did It Again 6. Lucky 7. Stronger 8. Don't Let Me Be the Last To Know 9. I'm A Slave 4 U 10. I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman 11. Overprotected 12. Boys (Co-ed remix f/ Pharrell) 13. Me Against The Music f/ Madonna 14. Toxic 15. Everytime 16. 4th single from In The Zone 17. Overprotected (Darkchild Remix)

Everytime 16. 4th single from In The Zone 17. Overprotected (Darkchild Remix) I'm hoping that the 4th "In The Zone" single will be "Boom Boom" and that she will release a fifth and that it will be either "Breathe on Me" or "Brave New Girl". There are too many good songs on the album for there only to be 4 singles.

What about her global smash "Born To Make You Happy"? If it would include that, then there would be no reason for anyone to buy more than her GH album.

Thats why I reckon heaps of people would buy a Britney Greatest Hits. A lot of people hear her music on the radio or see it on TV and tap their foot to it and think "thats nice" but don't buy her albums because they assume it's going to be mostly filler *they are mostly right*. If she releases a GH with nothing but her hit singles plus a few new tracks I reckon a whole new host of people would come out and buy her GH album in droves.

No way! She shouldn't release a Greatest Hits for at least another 5 years. If she wants to remain fresh, she needs to continue releasing new material. Otherwise, people would be quick to write her off and say her career's over (for the 500th time).

I hope "Born To Make You Happy" will be on her Greastest Hits cd when she does bring one out. THAT WAS HER BEST SONG!

Four albums is more than enough to release a greatest hits album. I would include:
1. ...Baby One More Time 2. Sometimes 3. (You Drive Me) Crazy [The Stop! Remix] 4. From The Bottom of My Broken Heart 5. Oops!...I Did It Again 6. Lucky 7. Stronger 8. I'm A Slave 4 U 9. I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman 10. Boys (Co-ed remix f/ Pharrell) 11. Me Against The Music f/ Madonna 12. Toxic 13. - 14? Depends on chart positions & success
15. New Song #1 16. New Song #2

I like the original "Overprotected" but the remix was released and I wouldn't expect the original to be on a greatest hits. As for "Born To Make You Happy," they could make different track listings for different countries.

Britney has enought music to produce a greatest hits collection but why do it so early in her career. I think she should wait until atleast her next two studio albums are done

I don't know if Britney should release a "greatest hits" album, but she could release a very similar "singles collection". There is a difference in the ideaology between the two. Britney will have released 16-17 singles by the time "In The Zone" is done- that's more than enough for a singles collection.

I think it'd be like - OK this is the end of her career - if she released a GH after this album. She has enough material to fill up a disc but she hasn't been around long enough IMO. She should wait at least a few more years.

She could release "Chapter I" this year, then "Chapter II" after another 16 singles! Backstreet-style!

I think this would be a really bad idea. BS songs do not age well. Who the hell wants to hear Sometimes, OIDIA, Lucky, FTBOMBH, etc ever again, aside from possibly people who already own her material. Maybe her current CD is an exception, I don't know. Think of the flop that Janet'S GH CD was. The material preceding "Janet." was similarly not really listenable after they came and went. MAYBE if everything had really awesome remixes, and what are the chances.
