Is it just me or is radio seriously lacking in exciting can't-get-enough-of-them songs that are usually associated with Spring time?

My chart is always packed around this time of year, and this year, my chart is more packed than ever.

I know the kind of song that you're talking about but I'm always used to a few of those kind of songs and a load of crap. This year I think we have none of those and a bunch of really good songs.

I just allowed Cassidy to re-enter because I couldn't think of anything else to fill the void on my personal chart.

Over the past 6 weeks or so, my personal chart has been as competitive as it's been in a while.

Everytime I see the isolated phrase "so boring," I always think of the episode of Home Improvement where some lady (I can't remember who it was) hears Tim Allen refer to her as "sooo boring" and when she confronts him, he tries to weasel his way out by claiming he said she was "sobering."

I actually agree with the original poster. Well... Ok on my personal chart I do have several very strong songs competing for #1 or even top 10. But overall, Im finding it hard to fill up the rest. Especially now. Its spring now and honestly, very very few new songs are exciting me. Im either tired of the old songs or not excited by the new songs. I just checked out about 20 new songs from all access that I thought I might be interested in and only one even remotely grabbed my attention. The charts seem kind of weak, for newly released or up and coming songs to me. (the one song was the Counting Crows-haha, one of the few guaranteed to not be a big airplay hit )

Also, there's a dryspell of happy female oriented R&B pop. Everything seems so angry and depressing now and the female audience is actually falling for all this crunk crap.

I'm about to let another song re-enter - Three Days Grace, (I Hate) Everything About You.

You are quite right, the bottom 10 of my Top 30 will be pretty static for the next while.

I agree. When you have Usher's cliched and recycled crap dominating the charts, you know it's not a good time in the charts or in radio period. Avril should be making a big splash but she's not, so I think the lack of the Avril factor is what is causing part of the change. But fear not, I recall many times it's in May-June that things start getting spicier. There's still hope.

I think that was where he was talking about Jill's speech with the guys at the hardware store, unaware that the conversation was being videotaped on the same tape he recorded Jill's speech on (and she subsequently sees Tim's remarks when they watch the speech). That episode always stood out for me. That sounds like one where the phrase "so boring" would've been used by Tim quite a bit.
