Her best album is "Fever."
"Impossible Princess" is a good album, my favourite track is "Dreams." Its overrated in the Kylie camp, its Kylie's "Ray Of Light."

She seems to be stright up pop...just dance and substance. If thats what sheis then i might like her album because I need more happy pop lol.

Impossible Princess is my personal favorite Kylie album. It contains her best lyrics and, as Friends Fan said, is like her Ray Of Light. There are still some really catchy songs. I'd try downloading Cowboy Style, Did It Again, Dreams, Breathe, and Too Far if you can find them. That should give you a good represenation of what the album is like. My second favorite album is Body Language, the new one. The electro-dance sound is completely infectious. If you like Slow and Red Blooded Woman, you'll love the album. Other good songs to check out would be Sweet Music, Chocolate, and Secret. Third favorite is Fever! This is the album with Can't Get You Out Of My Head and the other two singles, Love At First Sight and Come Into My World. This is Kylie's most dance-pop album. Every song is catchy and radio-friendly. If you like her singles, you'll love this album and I'd start off with this one before any. Fourth favorite is definitely Light Years. This is her most "campiest" and it has some extremely fun songs. She didn't really go for catchy as much as she went for happy and feel good. But this is a good summer album and it contains some awesome songs. Songs to check out would be On A Night Like This, Butterfly, Bittersweet Goodbye, Burn This Disco Down, and Cucachoo (spelled wrong maybe lol) I have her self titled 94 album and her double disc greatest hits CD with her singles and some great remixes. That's as far as my Kylie education goes though. But those are my personal opinions! I hope it helps. If you want to hear any of the songs I've mentioned, I'd try going to www.amazon.com and listen to clips or just download them off of Soulseek.

If you've heard the song "Loving Days" off Body Language, I think that song is most reminiscient of her "Impossible Princess" days (i.e."Dreams").
Impossible Princess is not a commercial album by any stretch of the imagination. However, that does not mean it isn't a good album. It's experimental and a little to the left field, so if you do consider listening to the album, just remember that there isn't anything "Can't Get You Out Of My Head"-esque.
Standout tracks include: the first single "Some Kind Of Bliss", the hypnotic "Breathe", the schizophrenic "Limbo", "Dreams" and the celtic-influenced "Cowboy Style".
You could do without "Say Hey" and "I Don't Need Anyone".
If you are really searching, look for the b-side "Love Takes Over Me". Awesome track, imo.

Like M said, if you like "Loving Days" from the Body Language album, you'll probably enjoy Impossible Princess. Just don't expect big productions or anything. The album is Kylie's most personal album, being its the only one where she writes every single track. As I said earlier, "Dreams" is my favourite from the album. "Did It Again" and "Some Kind Of Bliss" are other good tracks.
If you wanna listen to an album, which showcases Kylie's vocals, then Kylie Minogue (1994) is it. "Confide In Me" and "Put Yourself In My Place" are lovely songs and are also singles, but my favourite is the Pet Shop Boys' penned "Falling." Even though its over 7 minutes long and Kylie basically repeats herself, its still an excellent song.
For corny, outdated, but still some fun dance/pop, check out Kylie, Enjoy Yourself, Rhythm Of Love, Let's Get To It. "Better The Devil You Know" from the Rhythm Of Love album is probably ones of the few that stood the test of time, for me anyways.
Some non-album tracks, such as "Where The Wild Roses Grow" with Nick Cave and The Bad Seed is up there with all the other excellent Kylie songs. Its mature, the lyrics are scary... seriously scary, and her vocals are wonderful. The collaboration with Pet Shop Boys on "In Denial," about a middle-aged closeted gay father is another great tune. When Kylie goes mature, she usually does it right. Just the public would rather listen to her sing poppy love songs.
For campy, listen to Light Years. Kylie works with Robbie Williams/Guy Chambers on some of the campiest tracks; one being "Your Disco Needs You." My personal favourite is the second single, "On A Night Like This," one of Kylie's best single in my opinion. Some other nice tunes; "Disco Down," "Please Stay" (fourth single), and "Under The Influence Of Love" (a Barry White cover).
For dance/pop at its best, its Fever. "... Head," "Love At First Sight," and "In Your Eyes" are probably the best tracks and one that became singles too! Another gem is "Love Affair," which Kylie co-wrote with BiffCo ("Love At First Sight," "In Your Eyes," "Loving Days" to name a few). One of the best tracks not included on the album is "Tightrope," which was on a "In Your Eyes" commercial single and an Australian Fever release.
