I wrote this on the TELL PINK section of her message board...just wanted some opinions.
To whom this may concern, I know I am only a fan, but it's obvious that the promotion for Try This has not gone as planned in the U.S. Radio support has been sparse and singles haven't been doing as well over here. I read that the next single hasn't been chosen, most likely because you all are being very careful and coming up with a strategy to save the album. What's so disappointing is that Try This is pop/rock genius, and deserves recognition. That's what brought me to think about the next single. My proposition is that Pink should release Waiting For Love as the third release here and fourth internationally. While songs like Catch Me While I'm Sleeping, Try Too Hard, and Save My Life seem like they would be easy hits, so did Trouble and God Is A DJ. Waiting For Love is very personal, and the instrumentation is perfect for the summer. Not only that, but it shows off Pink's raw vocal capabilities more than any other song on the record, and this will amaze people. She's also never released a ballad to radio, and while this song is different, it's still very recognizable after a few listens, and extremely powerful. This is a song you hear once and immediately go "wow," and it still sounds that incredible 10,000 times later. Different is good right now, who would've ever thought My Immortal or Toxic would've been big hits? If the first verse were edited, I think this song could bring Pink back to the top, god knows she deserves it.

"Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" went for Hot AC adds and got 0 adds upon impact. That mixed with the fact that she switched labels mid-album is not a good sign for her.

She switched labels? Well, then promo is DONE. Arista closed down, so she has since moved to RCA.

Arista closed down, so she has since moved to RCA. That's a little different than what I was thinking, but the result is probably the same. They'll focus on new material.

Pink will be knocking at Linda Perrys door for the next album. This last album was horrible with the exception of "god is a DJ"

I know she did but not for the MAJORITY of her album the way she did with Misunderstood.
I remember her saying working with Linda would be too confortable and she wanted to try something new(hence the name "try this")..........well that didnt work out well. Someimes being comfortable is best.

Pink needs to quit being spastic-elastic making music be more appreciated. OK, that didn't go over well at all. My point is I didn't like how smug that was.

Pink is talented, she just needs to start from scratch.

This Janis movie will be good for her - you should hear how perfect her cover versions are.

Her singles with Dallas Austin were the ones that clinched it for Missundaztood. If she is smart, she would take time off and work with Dallas, and come back two years later with a much toned down image. Her current wild-child image is repulsive.

Pink will pick herself up off of this for her fourth album, but I doubt there'll be another single. Hopefully RCA Records won't attempt to turn her into another Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera.
