I bought it, I'm still in the process of reviewing it, so I'll give you my thoughts later. But you all can start discussing it in the meantime.

Give her an even happier comeback from multiple sclerosis and please buy it today. No thanks, I read on her message board that the CD sticker has false advertising stating some songs were on the CD but weren't. I bet a bunch of unhappy customers took the album back and returned it.

TAMIA Album Title: More Producer(s): various Label/Catalog Number: Elektra 62847 Release Date: April 6 Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: April 17, 2004 Tamia can sing. The Quincy Jones protégée proved that in 1995 with her first top 20 R&B hit, "You Put a Move on My Heart." She later scored a No. 1 R&B single with Eric Benét, "Spend My Life With You." However, her albums have been hampered by inconsistent material and misguided production. With "More," the singer stands on solid ground. Since Tamia was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year, the album has been delayed several times. But now, it arrives with three earlier-released, radio-friendly singles: "Into You" featuring Fabolous, "Officially Missing You" and the R. Kelly-penned/produced "Questions." But it's songs like Babyface's "Smile" and the sensuous duet with Gerald Levert, "(They Long to Be) Close to You," that showcase Tamia's voice to full effect. Less effective are the uptempo tracks, although her pairing with producer/artist Mario Winans on "Mr. Cool" is a winner.—GM

The Quincy Jones protégée So she has something in common with Angela Via! Cool. Angela Via used to have "Quincy Jones knocking on her door"!

and without further ado, my review:
Capsule: Tamia CAN sing and the material this time is VERY STRONG. What is amazing here are the first-class ballads that get an A+++ for DELIVERY. I'm not sure why but the emotion and strength in her voice here is just flawless. That's probably why the uptempo tracks don't work as well, although they're still nice. I give this album an A-!!
My favorite song is "Whispers" which has really pretty and slick lyrics "oh baby whisper, sweet nothings in my ear, tell me all the things, that i long to hear... let me know that you feel the way i do"... awesome song.
"I'm Yours Lately" is the best of the uptempo songs, it uses some brass (which is coming back!) and a SUBTLE latino flavor. it's not an outright dance jam but it does work as one. the chorus is knock out.
There is a nice cover of the gospel song "Tomorrow" (she sang it at the FIRST annual BET gospel celebration) and a slowed-down remake of "(they long to be) close to you" with gerald levert.
the rest of the songs, other than the 3 you've all heard, have strong production and great vocals.
the only problem w/ the album is it suffers from any clear singles (other than "whispers" which could become a classic ballad).
