You forgot Phil Collins with 159145, and probably some other AC songs as well. I never implied the list was comprehensive. I just got tired.

Chantal stats!
'Before You;
17.555 Audience 3184 Total with 708 from Rhythmic, 300 from Alternative, 2000 from Hot AC and 2 from Pop.
'Dear Life' got 45 from Rhymthmic for some reason.
'Feels Like Home' got some audience but no spins somehow over the last three weeks... www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/Reports/Reg/EMD.asp?SOngID=1192132&NumDays=7
'God Made Me' got 426 Alternative spins.
'In This Life' - 13,391 total 'Leaving On A Jet Plane' - 1,463 total
All of those Rhythmic spins musta been from a Canadian station that calls itself Rhythmic because some of her other songs got Rhythm spins too.

Remember Mediabase does not go back past 2001 right? It was there in 2000 (after all, look at the figures for "Smooth"). I guess this explains the the relatively low spin count for songs that came out before that. But if there was no Mediabase before 2000, what was R&R's chart source before that time?

R&R started using Mediabase in 1999. Before that, they did all their charts the way they still do the Indicator charts, with stations submitting their own playlists. In 1999, they started using Mediabase for major market stations, and combined that data with submitted playlists for markets that weren't Mediabase-monitored. By 2001, Mediabase had expanded to the top 140 markets, so that's when R&R decided to use Mediabase data only for its main charts.
Maybe they didn't start tracking VH1 until 2001 or thereabouts.
As for the "wrong format" data, there could be a few reasons. It could be the result of leaving stations on the panel for a few weeks after changing formats. Or maybe they add up the "To Date" by a station's current format, so if a rock station used to be urban, all their airplay would count toward the rock totals. It could be a case of the odd spin here and there adding up, but the numbers are pretty high so I'd doubt that's the case.
Great find, especially since it's the first way I've seen to that we can search Mediabase for everything by an artist.

My rough estimate is early 2000.Β I took the spins for "Every Breath You Take" on AC the past three weeks, averaged them, then rounded down to 820 per week.Β Then I divided its total AC spins (179,615) by 820 and got 219 weeks, which is about 4.2 years. It's been around since 1999 at least.Β I have some saved airplay data from that year.Β Mediabase was actually 100% free to access everything for a couple months.Β If that were true today, I think a lot of Pulse members would never come out of their rooms. ;)

I was looking under F for Fabolous, and it must not have been there when I checked it. Adding the song to Fabolous's page was the update I was asking you to make, so it's done.

This information is wrong, look what i get when i go and look at these songs pop spins
Eminem "Lose Yourself" 134,197 Christina Aguilera "Beautiful" 101,257 No Doubt "Underneath It All" 99,641 Avril Lavigne "I'm With You" 95,012 Justin Timberlake "Cry Me A River" 74,379 J.lo "All I Have" 69,894 J.lo "Jenny From The Block" 45,521 Avril Lavigne "Sk8er Boi" 19,246
It seems that all the big hits from late 2002/early 2003's spins were lost or something, because there is no way these songs only got that much spins.

I wouldn't say they were completely "lost", since the total spins column still looks right. I don't know what's up with the individual format data though. ???

Maybe for some strange reason those spins are only based from January 2003 to the present day. That would explain the surprisingly low number for Avril's "Sk8er Boi", and that would explain why it looks like "Lose Yourself" "Beautiful" "Underneath It All" and "I'm With You" only have that much spins, since they were released in 2002 and crossed over into 2003. Still doesn't explain the low number for "All I Have" since that song was released in 2003. ???
