If you were being paid based on how well Janet's next album sells.
Preferrably i'd go on the Oprah show or the Bill O'Reilly show. These two shows really have the most impact on the conservative types that are running the country now. She's not going to escape the SB simply by ignoring it so she might as well talk about it. That's really the only way to take the steam out of the situation. She might also want to talk about how much Michael's situation has hurt the family emotionally. Also it would be a good idea to talk about her new album and explain to the folks that its not all about sex sex and sex as with her last 2 albums. Janet is the only person who could promote education the way she has while making people dance and get away with it.
Maybe an mass marketing ad about breast cancer awareness is in order. I mean afterall Janet has the most famous breast in history. She may think its degrading to her to some degree but it would put a positive spin on the Super Bowl and politically could work wonders for her image and conservative radio programmers' image of her.
Janet is also going ot have to do radio shows promoting her album and single as soon as the single is leaked or hits radio which ever is first. I would also make sure the people on ITUNES and other download sites have Janet's new single (along with a front page ad for the single) as soon as the song hits radio and/or gets leaked on the internet which ever is first. She also could do well by keeping the fans well informed on the album's progress. Knowing what potential song titles are and who has actually already produced tracks and things of this nature can extend the promotion of an album significantly.
They say they are worried about the song leaking but I'm convinced the record company leaked JALW. Despite napster being popular AFY was basically unleakable until it hit the radio airwaves. So the record company can control the leak of a single. Jennifer Lopez's Get Right was a controlled release and we knew it was a single WAAAAY before it was a single which is proof positive that only the record company or a radio station can leak a song to the public.
I also think the first single needs to be BUMPIN'. Collaborating with new producers is great but I think they all need to sit down together and work on the album not produce one song here, one song there... I mean serveral producers sit down and produce one cohesive dance album.
