i just can't understand why this mario is so successful!! let me love u is such a stupid song, his voice isn't goldenbranded, so how come the airplay so big? on the other hand, if i watch the top songs in billboard hot 100, there are so little songs with a great quality, such as green day's, or gwen stefani's...

I don't think "How Could You" is going to be that successful.

Let me get this straight, you think Mario is bad quality and Green Day and Gwen are high quality? really? Green Day is an overall very good band that is getting way more than it's due with Blvd of Broken Dreams. That song is one I'm not even that fond of by them, and this #1 business is ridiculous. They have better songs than that, that I'd call filler songs. Gwen is NOT a great singer. She knows her niche and does okay in it, but come on, if you have to rip off Fiddler On the Roof to get a hit, I don't think I'd call it high quality.

Let Me Love You has been #1 for 10 weeks on the Hot 100 Airplay so far and should get 2-3 more weeks before Candy Shop takes over. I think this is the only hit he'll get off of his album.

How much has he sold? Should be millions upon millions with all that repeated airplay.

"Let Me Love You" does not deserve #1. People will not remember this song in years to come.

795,699 in its first 11 weeks. (not) surprising. Guess those hundreds of millions of people who people will swear listen to the song arent really supporting it that much.

(not) surprising. Guess those hundreds of millions of people who people will swear listen to the song arent really supporting it that much. no, they just d/led the single, legally or illegally. people can sort of tell the difference between what happens to be a good song, and a song that indicates a good artist that probably has a good album.

So the hundreds of millions of people downloaded the song and all collectively decided that the cd was crap?

I think most people know Mario is not much of a credible artist. I really like "Let Me Love You" but I know I'll have no interest in his album. I've heard a few more songs from it and I don't like any nearly as much as "Let Me Love You".

He was just lucky. and had good timing. That, as well as a good amount of payola, especially with "Just A Friend 2002".

That, as well as a good amount of payola, especially with "Just A Friend 2002". Saying payola had a hand in Mario's success with "Let Me Love You" is straight-up BS. People like the song. It happens. Get over it.

Let Me Love You definetly did not get payola! Its been #1 for 10 weeks on the R&b singles and tracks chart! When was the last time a song spent that long on the R&B chart?
