I've had this album for months and it was in my CD Player for weeks, but this is the first time I read the lyrics while listening to the songs.
There's a very nice mix of slow and uptempo songs. The album opens with the dated "Meant To Live" - first single and easily the worst song on the album. Why is it that relatively unknown bands always have to put their first single in as the first track of the album?
Quickly moving on past the first track, the album switches mode to the beautiful ballad asking us to take a long hard look at our lives by asking, "Is this who you want to be?"
The response to that is the next track, "I'm "More Than Fine"." As they should be, after making this gem of an album.
"Ammunition" was a downer. Repeating "We're ammunition" over and over again didn't help things.
However, they totally made up for it with the next track, "Dare You To Move."
Unfortunately, the next track also left much to be desired. Funny how they flank one of the best songs on the album with two filler tracks.
Track 7 started off very promising, but it dragged on a little towards the end. "Gone" was absolutely amazing and after it, the album gradually built up to a big finish in "Twenty-Four".
Conclusion? I'm definitely checking our their older album. Meanwhile, this one is a must-buy. The album's beautiful, but by no means a "letdown".
