Can you think of some? And can you explain why? All I can think is when it's an established artist and a good video-- but then I don't see why it doesn't get radio play. It's strange to me.
My first example is Mary's current "It's A Wrap"-- lol it's practically getting more plays on BET than spits at radio.

Most Canadian songs, since the CanCon requirement for TV is 50% rather than 30% for Radio.

Britney usually relies more on TV exposure it seems, until she released "Toxic."

Clay Aiken's "The Way" and Hanson's "Penny & Me" are on MTV Hits all the time.

Mary J. Blige: "Love @ First Sight"
The Darkness: "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" (All my friends who like The Darkness said they never heard the song ONCE on the radio, but the video encouraged them to buy the album)
Kylie Minogue: "Red Blooded Woman"
T.I: "Rubber Band Man"
Ludacris: "Act A Fool" (It didn't make the Top 50 on Pop, yet it was incredibly popular the summer of 2003 on MTV)
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Joss Stone - Fell In Love With A Boy That one's always on at VH1. Thats ALL OVER tv, and barely is on radio. It makes no sense, especially since everyone is raving about her...

Mary J. Blige, T.I. and Ludacris were all big CHR/Rhythmic and Urban hits, so I wouldn't exactly say they got played more on video channels than on radio channels.
There's William Hung's "She Bangs", the spins FUSE is giving it is probably more than all the radio spins it got combined. Of course they had to, since they have exclusive rights to it.

I wouldn't call "Act a FooL" a bit radio hit... mary's latest has only had a total of a few hundred spins on all formats combined... 852 to be exact, but has gotten 73 video plays on BET-- an alarming ratio, 11.7:1. for example,a huge across the board hit like "in da club" has a 286.7:1 ratio. a single format hit like monica's "so gone" has a 261.3:1 ratio. a small hit like tamia's "officially missing you" has has a 295.5:1 ratio. Whoa who whoa-- I picked those at random and the rations are all scarily the same! I may have stumbled onto something. In any case, it proves how a video like "it's a wrap" is really odd.

So, by doing just a little quick research, it seems most songs get between a 300:1 and 200:1 ratio of radio spins to video spins.
Britney Spears gets more between 180:1 and 120:1... it really holds up well! and shows that she does get more video play.
someone should do a study on this. artists who are more important for their image and all, get higher video ratios, while artists that are very NON imagistic get extra low ratios (Heather Headley "I Wish I Wasn't" 454:1, Jazon Mraz "The Remedy" 377:1).
