What current Chart toppers do you think will reach "Diamond" certification or higher?
Usher - "Confessions"?
Norah Jones - "Come Away With Me"?
Norah Jones - "Feels Like Home"?
Evanescence - "Fallen"?
Alicia Keys - "Diary of Alicia Keys"?
Will any or all of these albums reach or surpass 10X Platinum?
What do you think?

Come Away With Me has the biggest chance of making the top 100 albums of all time list.

Usher, then Norah's first.
Outkast's is coming very soon.
I just don't think Ev is going to do that this year. It'll take a few years for them to do that.

I'd say FIRST Norah Jones (album 1 & 2) then *possibly* Usher lagging behind at a slow pace. Honestly, I think his album will fall quickly towards the middle/end of the year. Fallen, as marvelous as the album is and as miraculously consistent the sales have been, I just don't see cracking diamond certification. I'd say they'll get to 6X platinum, the most. People underestimate how extrememely difficult it is to get diamond certification nowadays. Even Eminem with all his popularity two years ago hasn't been able to crack it.

Come Away With Me has already sold over 9 million copies it could go 10X any time now. Usher looks destined to, and I'd expect The Eminem Show will as well. I'm not sure about Usher, but he sure is selling like wildfire right now. I don't think Feels Like Home will, and Fallen will need another major hit if it is going to. I know the Eminem Show isn't current, but since it has sold a little over 9 right now I threw it in.

I think "Come Away With Me" will be the only one.
Feels Like Home: around 7x Confessions: 6x Fallen: 6x Diary: 5x
Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is already diamond because it's a double album.

Speakerboxxx/The Love Below is already diamond because it's a double album. No it isn't. The doubling contributes to the certification. You don't double the certification yourself. "For boxed sets, and double albums with a running time that exceeds 100 minutes or more, the RIAA multiplies shipments by the number of discs and/or tapes." www.billboard.com/bb/charts/bb200.jspThe RIAA multiplies, not you. If Outkast was 18 times platinum (double the listed 9 times platinum the chart gives) I think there would be media attention to the fact that it would have been the highest certified album of the 2000s and the highest certified album since Shania's "Come On Over."

True.
Expect it to be certified 10x platinum in the near future, though (it was certified 9x nearly three months ago).

How well do you all think that "Josh Groban - Closer" will end up selling?
It's been selling steadily since it's release a few months ago and I think is now up to 3.3 million sold in America.
P.S. The Outkast album has sold 4.8 million or so but is certified 9X Platinum because it's a double album.
I think they should scrap this rule of Double albums getting double certifications.

LOL... translated, I think he meant that OutKast's album isn't diamond yet (you said that it was). It's only 9x platinum at the moment (for shipments of 4.5 million units). :)

[It's sold 4,814,000 (x2 = 9,628,000).]

I don't think any of these albums will reach diamond status. Outkast will go diamond, but like Shania Twain, 2 discs are doubled.

You sell 1,000,000 or 10,000,000, you don't sell platinum or diamond.

b/c only 5 million people bought it So what? Probably only 300,000 people bought Clay Aiken's album, but them buying it 7 times each still pushes it over 2 million. AS mentioned above with Outkast, you are also paying for both albums, so people are shelling out more money for it.
