Goes for adds on January 17. I'm so happy they're getting a push in the US. This is the fourth single in the UK, but I guess it probably is their best bet at a US alternative hit. I'm worried they're too British dance rock for the US. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong though. Stars Of CCTV is one of the best albums of the year. If this is a hit, I think "Hard To Beat" could be a great follow-up. mfile.akamai.com/9139/rm/stream.wmg.com/wmi/uk/hardfi/cash_machine_hi.ram

I love this! I really hope this gets a fair shot. The French accordian intro may risk setting up the wrong first impression when PDs listen to this, but this is a fun and catchy song with a definite rock chorus. I would have said this has no shot at all 2 years ago, but the fact that Gorillaz got to #1 gives me hope.

It's pretty good; Alt Nation is giving this quite a few spins.

I just started noticing this on XM the past couple weeks, and it's really caught on to me. It's exactly the kind of different-but-not-too-different song the format needs right now, so I hope it does well.

This group is great, but seems to have like five different songs in rotation on different stations across the country. Do they have any plans to release any certain song? I have half the album from Stars of CCTV downloaded and it looks like these guys could have a big year in the states.

I like it. It's got a good hook. Their music reminds me of a mix of Franz Ferdinand and The Arcade Fire.
Tied for third most adds this week with 11.

This song will likely go Top 3. Great Song, Great Hook, Different Sound but not too different. It sounds like a UK version of the Bravery or perhaps the Killers with the influence and vocals of Oasis.
This song is should be a big hit, but just like in the UK, "Hard To Beat" should be their song to send them into the spotlight of 2006. Look for Stars of A CCTV to be one of this year's top Alternative Albums, and quite possibly the biggest act from the UK to make a splash here in the states. However, Keane, Snow Patrol, and new Muse should give us something to look forward to from the UK. However, I can't wait for "Hard To Beat" to be released, it's going to be huge. Otherwise for now, this song is going to TCB (Take Care of Business) well into late Spring.

It's in the top 20 now at alternative but the bullet is shrinking each and everyday.

I really liked this song when I heard it last summer, and again live that same night when they opened up for The Bravery. I'm glad it's a well-deserved stateside hit and that I'm finally getting to hear it regularly now.

I can't believe this is already done , it should have been a top10 hit . I hope they'll release a strong follow-up.

^ I agree. I'm shocked at how fast this rose and fell. It deserved to be a top 10 hit without a doubt. It has had no longevity either. It has fallen 13 spots in only 1 week! I didn't think its performance would be this disappointing. This really sucks. :( I hope their next single has more success.

Hard To Beat should do quite well, just like how it did in the UK, however, I have no idea how this fell completely off the face of the Earth, especially after positive reviews for their latest album, which indeed, is really good.
