I don't think that this has ever been made, and after seeing the "Scientist" topic, I'm making this. I believe there are lots of people here who have it:
1. The Scientist: A+ 2. Clocks: A 3. Politik: A 4. Green Eyes: A 5. A Whisper: A 6. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face: A- 7. A Rush of Blood to the Head: A- 8. In My Place: B+ 9. Amsterdam: B 10. Warning Sign: B- 11. Daylight: C+
Overall: Within B+/A-

One of the best albums of 2002! (perhaps in the top five of 2002)
1: Politik: A- (A very striking yet subtle debut in the album filled with strong percussion marching and Martin's haunting vocals against light piano. An anthem for recent times, and the coda lyric is certainly what we're yearning for.
2: In My Place: B- (The low point of the album is actually this first single. Sounds more like it should have belonged on "Parachutes".)
3: God Put A Smile Upon Your Face: A (Some critics may agree though still a great album, Coldplay still comes off as a bit mellow still. Here there's a great mix between Martin's masculinity and feminity behind both his vocals and songwriting. Very ethereal acoustics and mellotron lift this up.
4: The Scientist: A+ (Martin reaches a lyrical peak with this lovely ballad that should have been a classic. Who doesn't wish to go back to the start? Meanwhile, musically, Coldplay continue to do what they do best, while pumping up the electrics at the end to remind you it's Coldplay and not a solo Martin project. They are like angels coming out beyond the silver lining or from behind that telescopic lense.
5: Clocks: A (One of the best hits of 2003. The surreal piano jangle and electric undercurrents blend in with Martin's understandable yet picturesque lyrics, almost as though they run like a kaleidoscope or staring at some screen-saver flying into a vortex. It is an imagery-arouser that can also relax.
6: Daylight: A- (The electric guitars shed sunbeams in throughout this recording which sounds vaguely familiar to "Clocks" yet unique enough to stand on its own. Nice production gives it high points)
7: Green Eyes: A (A beautiful love song revealing more of Martin's feminine side. Gorgeous acoustic blends against his lovely haunting vocals.)
8: Warning Sign: A (This should have been a single. It's as though in the chorus you can feel his laments, and by the end comes clarity that rounds up the heart's calling. Beautiful fluctuation from electric bliss to a beautiful piano coda.)
9: A Whisper: B+ (It's at this point where the album becomes heaviest other than "Politik" and Martin reveals his more tougher nature. It begins with the crunching pandemonium of riffs filling this number and volcanic recurring pre-chorus shouts.)
10: A Rush of Blood to the Head: A (That's right, the title track was inspired off of Bush's decision to go to war. The toughest track off the album, dealing with these serious matters, punchlined with "I'm going to buy a gun and start a war!")
11: Amsterdam: A- (A somber closure to the album not quite as striking as the beginning but still emotionally strong. Silence is indeed deafening, and te lyrics denote incarceration until someone comes and cuts him loose, thereby having us geared for what's to come next in Coldplay III.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

There is not one bad song on the album. This is a great album. I would have never guessed from Parachutes that they had it in them.
A+ for the whole album.

If this thread would have been posted a year, I could've described how I love every single song, but now I can't, all I can say is I'm a MP3-downloading freak, and when I downloaded this album it was so amazing I rushed out to the local K-Mart and bought it. I also predicted 'Clocks' would be their break-out back in January 03 (those you visit my site (www.rayato.com) should remember. HELL! It was so good, I bought 'Parachutes' the following week!
