I was just wondering where did the following huge "One Hit Wonders" peak on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart?
Los Del Rio - "Macerena"
Las Ketchup - "Ketchup Song" *or was that not released in America cause I know it was a huge 'one hit wonder' in Britain and Australia.
Baha Men - "Who Let The Dogs Out"
Aqua - "Barbie Girl"
Right Said Fred - "I'm Too Sexy"
Lou Bega - "Mambo #5"
Thanks!

Spent 14 weeks at #1 and stayed on the Hot 100 for 60 weeks. Debuted (and peaked) at #7. The highest debut ever (at the time) for a first single.

Was that high debut based on high sales or inordinately strong airplay?

Sales, definitely (although it did have some decent pop airplay).

Las Ketchup - "Ketchup Song" > not sure where it peaked on the Hot 100, but I know it was released here in the US (it just missed the top 40 on R&R's pop chart)
Baha Men - "Who Let The Dogs Out" > #40 on the Hot 100
Right Said Fred - "I'm Too Sexy" > 3 weeks at #1, certified Platinum
Lou Bega - "Mambo #5" > peaked at #3, despite spending 6 weeks at #1 on the airplay chart (it was only released as a 12" vinyl single); spent 10 straight weeks in the top five

Las Ketchup - "Ketchup Song" *or was that not released in America cause I know it was a huge 'one hit wonder' in Britain and Australia. Only peaked around the 50's because no single was released. I hated that song.

"The Ketchup Song (Hey Hah)" peaked at #54, thank God. About 47 spots too high.

Just for clarification, Aqua and Los Del Rio are not one hit wonders. The former had a higher charting single on pop "Turn Back Time" and Los Del Rio had Latin fame before Macarena.
I also question putting Lou Bega on the list as well. He did have another hit "Tricky Tricky" which peaked in the low 20s on the pop chart.

Just for clarification, Aqua and Los Del Rio are not one hit wonders. The former had a higher charting single on pop "Turn Back Time" and Los Del Rio had Latin fame before Macarena. - Aqua had more than 5 hits in Europe. - Los Del Rio... I'm tired of them, but I have to say that being Spanish means that I know more than 3 songs by them
