Lauryn Hill's album is not coming out this year!!!
Janet's isn't confirmed either. In fact that label has said it will not be released. Also, Janet is on Virgin, not JIVE.

Where did you get that Janet Jackson was coming out on Nov 16th? Because all these albums are coming out in November so someone just made up a random date and now people are speculating so much that everyone is now convinced that all these albums are coming out the same week. Britney's is the only one that is 100% confirmed for November 16. Shakira's is confirmed according to her fans. Jennifer Lopez and Destiny's Child are just scheduled for November/December. Lauryn has barely begun recording and Virgin said Janet will not be releasing hers.

I can't see Britney selling more than 350k with a Greatest Hits.
J. Lo should probably do 200k-350k.
Destiny's Child might sell upwards of 500k since Beyonce is such a star now.
Shakira will sell less than 200k probably.
So DC should be #1, followed by J Lo or Britney and then Shakira or the previous week's #1.

As j said, DC could easily pull 500K
Britney will sell between 350-600 depending on the first single.
J-Lo, I'd say 250K
Shakira, 150K
Janet, maybe 60,000

It all depends on the 1st single. If DC3's 1st single tanks then they won teven matter. Britney will do well because she has proven that she can do well without a hit single. J-LO needs a hit and so does Shakira.
But i am sure all of these acts wont come out the same week. DC-3 and J.Lo would be the front runners for #1 because both artists have good singles history..especially 1st singles. So their albums should do well. But Sony wouldnt want them to come out at the same week.

Make your forecasts for November 16 Cloudy and turning colder with a morning high of 47 degrees and then falling temperatures in the afternoon, accompanied by rain possibly changing to snow by dusk.

LMAO If these albums were to come out on the same day (unlikely) then I believe that Britney will be number one followed by Destiny's Child, I believe they would be really close in sales, followed by J-Lo and Shakira would be somewhere around 9 or 10. I love Shakira but she really needs to pull through with a huge hit single to be able to be anywhere near the top of the pack and Britney's Greatest hits could be the next Immaculate Collection.

Most if not all will be re-scheduled for other dates. . . I remember someone saw this last year with a couple albums and all of them spread out to other dates.

If ANY of these release dates are officially confirmed (I seriously doubt the Janet Jackson/Lauryn Hill releases), Britney Spears will undoubtedly debut on top.
Destiny's Child will probably debut at #2 if this is their confirmed new album's release date. They won't sell quite as well in a first week in comparison to previous efforts because of being out of the limelight for a while, but they'll still have no problem pulling off strong numbers with Beyonce's fame.
Shakira and Jennifer Lopez will be battling for #3 (unless, of course, we have another Usher hovering around the top of the Billboard 200 forever). I hope Shakira wins the duel, but there's no guarantee.
Shakira should still do very well in my mind. She has established herself very well, and her live release has helped true international Shakira fans realize her true nature; not just another ditsy dumb pop platinum blonde but one of the most poetic, intelligent and talented pop stars of our generation.
THIS will benefit Shakira enough to earn her a healthy debut, even if it doesn't match the figures of "Laundry Service". EVERYONE in Latin America knows who she is, and she is on track to surpass Gloria Estefan in all-time Latin fame. And with Latin culture continuing to sweep America, so will the lasting of the Shakira buzz.
Jennifer Lopez, meanwhile, has suffered a tailspin in her career. "Gigli" completely crushed her in Hollywood, and "I'm Real" has proven her ability to top charts is all too stoppable. I think she'll pull mediocre numbers.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Not close at all. The high was 52 and the low was 44. No falling temperatures and no snow. But there was rain, so at least I was right on that count. This November has been unusually warm so far. Temperatures are supposed to hit 60 tomorrow. Rather unusual for the Great Lakes area. So was my forecast correct anywhere else in the country?
