i`m interested in your promoting skills. How would you promote mariah in order to sell more album copies? With "Charmbracelet"she was highly promoted , but sales were great during the first weeks when she explained the "breakdown"and everyone was excited to learn about it. What would you do now when there`s nothing shocking to present?
I would... Heavily promote her on tv , every single major tv show there is including the talk shows
make major appearances in shops and malls , singing live
i would go to numerous radio shows every week to gain radio popularity
would make her do another world tour
would prevent mariah from working with so many rappers:)

I would tell Mariah to make a good album. You can promote your worst album to date as much as you want and it's not going to sell.

I would have her do an intimate club tour and have her really strip down her songs. Turn her into a singer/songwriter, not a diva.

Regardless of whether that would help sales, I would be in heaven if that happened. I'd love for Mariah to get the respect she deserves for writing and producing nearly everything she sings, and stripped-down performances of some of her more obscure album cuts (Vanishing, Looking In, etc.) in a setting truly designed for singing would be amazing.

Mariah can't play a note on any instrument. That's why she gets sued for plagiarism so often. She gets all her ideas from other songs.

She should perform at community colleges (def. not universities, especially spoiled private ones like USC who got Anne Hathaway on campus when "The Princess Diaries 2" was filming), high schools, middle schools (the kids who win the writing/poetry competition get to have a catered salad bar lunch with Mariah!), some not-so-high-class, but-not-so-ghetto shopping malls in the JCPenney court (the area in front of the department store where there's a little train for kids to ride that costs $1 per ride), and Borders (the really large ones with two stories; Mariah's new music will "appeal to those who love the rich, grown-up production of Norah Jones and Josh Groban").
If she listens to my suggestion, she'll be tapping into a newfound audience and sell a gazillion platinum albums in no time.

I would put off releasing anything until individual digital track downloads are counted on The Hot 100. Then, pull some scam that involves it selling upwards of 200,000 downloads in a week to put it at #1 on The Hot 100. And get the fan support as well. Remember all the Mariah fans exhorting other fans to buy multiple copies of "Loverboy" to try to place it at #1? Alternatively, go techno/dance and try to re-create the "Ray of Light" album or "Believe" single since she can't sing well anymore. I would hate her for it, but I can easily see her stealing Madonna's and Cher's fans. She's classier and the words "old crone" don't jump into my head immediately when I think of her.

Promote her as this album is a cross between Music Box and Daydream. Her 2 best albums ever.

To be honest, I don't think anything short of an untimely death is gonna restore her commercial fortunes past mediocrity, unless she manages to get hold of something AMAZING, that defies her status to become a worldwide smash, a'la 'Believe' & 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'.
She's far too lightweight to suceed with a Ray Of Light-esque album though. It wouldn't be believable from her.

I wouldn't promote her until she got her head screwed on straight music-wise. She has been downhill ever since she took greater creative control in what she records. Her music from the early 90's is STILL great music. She didn't like it though. She'd rather sing crappy songs that don't allow her to shine. I wouldn't spend a drop on promotion until she let someone else make some of the music decisions for her.

but-not-so-ghetto shopping malls in the JCPenney court (the area in front of the department store where there's a little train for kids to ride that costs $1 per ride) LOL!
