Why didnt she release "metamorphasis" as her last single instead of releasing a NEW album less than a year from her 1st one? I think "metamorphasis" would have been her biggest hit. that song is HOT! It has a bloodshy & Avant feel to the production. it reminds me of "Toxic" in alot of ways. The song is HOT!

Why didnt she release "metamorphasis" as her last single Because she wanted to give my ears a break???? Actually, this happens to quite a number of manufactured teen pop stars. The record label's thinking is to squeeze them dry before their 15 minutes is up and the best way to make money is to release a new album instead of spending money promoting another single that isn't going to raise sales of an older by much. Same reason why Britney releases a new album every 1.5 years and why instead of properly promoting a fourth single, she's having a Greatest Hits released. The faster these "artists" are squeezed dry, the better off I am anyway.

well the sales for "metamorphasis" were excellent. It held up extremely well. a hit single would have helped it even more.

I wonder if a good majority of Duff's fans can pronounce Metamorphesis?

The faster these "artists" are squeezed dry, the better off I am anyway. Please dont limit it to just Britney. Because Ashanti is releasing those albums annually, trying soak up her 15 minutes and hasnt had HALF the success of Britney. The same goes for just about every other artist in todays market. But that is just the way the industry is going. The whole industry is now chaging from trying to make superstars with long jevity like Janet, Mariah, Maichel, madonna, ect. to making artists who are hot for a few years and then they are dropped. There are so many gimicks and people and producers of the moment, no1 is going to last long and none of the labels are trying to promote artists like they used to, so that they can last long. Its as if no artist is expected to have over 3 albums or 5 years of success now. Which ever comes first.

A hit single would've helped only marginally, and would've cost a lot more to promote. A new album is more profitable at this point. I've already said this in my first post; perhaps you missed it. The pronounciation of TDOM's spelling sounds like "Metamor-feces" Hehe. Apt.

Please dont limit it to just Britney. I didn't. She's just one example and there are many others like 'shanti - I just didn't bother to mention them all. Surely that was obvious. So which one lasts longer - (1) longer jevity (2) long jevity or (3) Viagra-induced erections?

The question should be why didn't she release "Where Did I Go Right," a certified PMB favorite.
