One of the band members on their message board said that this would be the first single off of the Black Porch EP.
The song will apparently go for adds in June with the EP to be released digitally first.
There will be two versions of this song...I don't want to assume the first being the album version, even though it's probably my favorite song on this underrated and outright forgotten album.
Great song.

Well seeing how the Black Porch EP is an Acoustic EP, i would think they would release the acoustic version of Follow THe Sun Down. I agree 12 Year Silence was an awsome album and the publicity sort of stoped after Brother fell off the charts. Pieces didnt do much on the charts.

Technically, there are going to be three versions of the song. The Black Porch EP is going to have two different acoustic versions of it. I don't know why, and I don't know how. I don't even care, cause all I care about are the new songs that are going to be on the EP.
BTW, publicity for Twelve Year Silence probably isn't going to go back up anytime soon, since after a short promotion of this EP the band is going to start work on their next album.
Kinda sucks though. I wish they had released Taking Me Alive as a single.

I can't wait for more Dark New Day. Liked the singles. Don't have the album.

This is quickly becoming one of my most listened to songs on Limewire. I'd better get to charting it soon. Can't see it doing well on the rock formats, but maybe they aren't necessarily looking for that here. Much like Godsmack, I'm sure it will help them develop more as musicians, and I've even found myself digging out old Sevendust songs that I listened to back in '02. Ahh, the glorious teen years.

So did this hit the top 40 on Active Rock or not?
I can kinda see how this wouldn't do that well on radio, but I love the song. It came totally out of nowhere -- I could have easily never listened to it, even though I downloaded it on a Promo Only torrent. Hopefully it'll get another push as the lead single from their next album.
