Just wondering who tunes into this station out there. 102.7 has seen a number of crazy changes the past few years...from rock, to 102.7 talk with Opie and Anthony in the early 2000s, to Blink when it was a CHR in 2003, to the "new mix" when it was the best of the 70s to today, to now "New York's Classic Dance Mix."
A lot of people here have been wanting a new rock station here, to replace the defunct K-Rock, citing that the new Mix basically apes KTU's classic dance tracks.
Personally, I'm a fan. I like the classic dance format, and there's more variety here than KTU since they're not playing the newer stuff. Ideally, I'd like to see KTU drop a lot of its old dance and focus on current tracks and have Mix take that audience, but I highly doubt that would ever happen.
Thoughts? Is 102.7 biding its time till another format change? Or will it survive?

In the ratings released on Monday, WNEW had their highest rating in a while. In the final Spring 2005 ratings to be released July 18, WNEW has a chance of reaching a 2.0 or higher. WNEW is currently in 22nd place in Market 1.

WNEW is the most pointless station ever, especially with what KTU is currently playing. I could see the appeal maybe if KTU updated their selection, but they're basically two 80's dance stations in the same area.
