Second single from Dusk And Summer. Pretty nice although I like The Secret's In The Telling and Stolen more. Goes for adds August 28th. I like how Dashboard over the years has become a full-fledged band instead of just a Carraba solo project, even though it technically still is just that very thing. Although I'm sure that means he'll eventually break up the band and start another new solo project. Watch it happen. That's my 2007 prediction.

Another summer song about rooftops? Enough already: it's time for a song or two about oppressive, dank basements.

I love this song! It's probably my favorite from the band. I loved Lost Prophets, but this song is even better.

I have to listen to this album in my record store and this is probably the only song I can stand by them. NOT saying I like it, I hope it crashes and burns.

"Don't Wait" bombed a while ago, that should make you happy.

That's horrible, guys. I don't know, I could never be happy about a band's failure. Dudes are just trying to make a living doing something they love. Can't not respect that.

This reminds me of the time I saw a band at WPBZ's Buzz Bake Sale back in 2000 that you all may remember as that one hit wonder "Teenage Dirtbag" band Wheatus. First of all, obviously when a band makes such a cheesy hit song like that and the lead singer whom everyone thought was female, was actually a guy, you'd probably expect a lot of the fans there to have a "WTF" reaction and taunt them.
However, to make matters worse, hundreds of people were throwing objects larger than just shoes at them and the lead singer actually said "You can throw whatever you want at us. Just please nothing that will hurt." That actually enticed the crowd to get worse, and I think the band ended their set early from what I remember.
My point is that I felt horrible for these guys despite their music which hardly anybody was into, and couldn't believe they put with that crap from the fans. I don't think I could ever do something like that no matter how much I hated a band, but like said above, they were just following their dreams of playing their music to an audience, even if they did suck.

I don't think I could ever do something like that no matter how much I hated a band, but like said above, they were just following their dreams of playing their music to an audience, even if they did suck. Idiots who senselessly bring the image of the modern rock community down is all the "stone-throwers" are. If I were the lead singer, I wouldn't throw anything back, which wouldn't be fair to the non-throwers, but I would most definitely unleash my verbal fury then and there. So ridiculous. I heard from a couple friends DC performed very well at my Buzz Beachball II concert last weekend, but that's all I have. Oh, and I remember getting upset at Hugwhore's DC disdain in the "Don't Wait" thread, so I apologize for that. Hugwhore, is it a general hatred toward the "emo" genre or just this band? I remember being incredibly annoyed with their 2002 disc, but have been consistently impressed with them ever since. Listening to this song, it has that familiar rhythm of "Vindicated" or "Rapid Hope Loss", but with the minor disappointment of "Don't Wait" (and my original prediction of a peak around #20 was, in fact, correct! ), I can only really see this barely denting top 40. It's nothing "new" enough by their standards to set itself apart from their previous singles.

At The Disco. I'll admit, I liked "Vindicated". Then "Ordinary" came and blew that song out of the water.

you'd be suprised at how easily I can hope a band fails :). everything from his one tone vocal style to his overdramatics back to his over gelled 50's hairstyle. I cant stand anything bout em :)
