the "a million ways" video was good too.
This might save their career though. It was on "best week ever" this week.

It's really a shame they aren't doing that well. I think all their singles (like 4 or 5 now) with this CD have been at the very least, catchy.

I'm a huge fan of OK Go, I love em before their first album even came out. I think the pop world will get hooked on them from the JC Penney back to school ads.
I am really into power pop and punk
My fave bands are OK GO, Jet, The Strokes AAR. and Phantom Planet

Great video, great song.
Why are there a handful of bands that get it so right that just can't seem to catch on at radio?

I love the video for this song. Great video, great song. Why are there a handful of bands that get it so right that just can't seem to catch on at radio? I wonder that myself. It seems like a high percentage of the bands that do get some airplay are rather dull and mediocre. I kind of cringe at the thought that the few rock bands that get significant airplay include the likes of Nickelback, Three Doors Down etc. Ugh, there are so many better rock bands than that. Why can’t the truly interesting and creative bands break though?

The video seems to be helping, it's picking up pretty well at alt. radio.

This has had one of the strangest chart runs on the VH1 VSpot Top 20 Countdown.
11-9-12-20
It's currently in the 20's range because it has a thermometer icon on the voting page.

Hasn't it been viewed like 4 millions times on YouTube? Crazy. It's a good song, but steps behind their other Hot AC and Alternative releases from this same CD.

Trippy video, but this should've been the second single. I even charted it as the second single.

I got rather sick of "Get Over It" after listening to it all those times on my Triple Play 2002 video game.
This is like a cross between power-pop and Strokes-like indie rock. Incredibly catchy. Not at all surprised it's starting to take off. Could be in the top 30 by next update.

It actually sort of reminds me of "Video Killed The Radio Star" at times.

Every time I see this video, in addition to its greatness, I also realize:
• Rental of 6 treadmills: $600 • Wardrobe: $1000 (which may be generous 'cause you could probably get most of that stuff at Goodwill, but if the gay guys ever found that out, the band would lose half its core fanbase, so who knows.) • A camera to sit on a tripod and get it on film: $500
Total cost of music video: $2100. That's like the same amount it costs to put one 24 inch rim on a shitty car for use in a shitty hip-hop video. Why is creativity so difficult these days.

Wow, when was the last time a song became a hit solely because it had video that was universally declared awesome? I'm thinking it must be "Virtual Insanity" by Jamiroquai, and even then that wasn't that big a hit.
The video is brilliant, and I remember the first time I saw it was at 5:00 AM on VH1, and I was thinking, "Geez, this is what they're playing when I'm asleep? Why can't this be played ten times a day instead of Flavor of Love?" Well, two weeks afterward, whaddya know, you can't escape it.
The song is cool too, but I get the feeling it's going to wind up going the same road as "Stacy's Mom", where I liked the video and the song's catchiness gave it a lot of favor, but then I slowly got over it to the point where I'm burned out and don't want to hear the song at all. I'm not there yet, but both KNDD and KBKS seem to be playing this a lot already, so we'll see.

OK Go deserves so much more credit than they ever get. They're brilliant in concert, I also saw them on Comcast channel being interviewed and doing a stripped concert on accoustic guitars. I absolutely love them, their first CD was as good as the second

I'm not only surprised - but shocked - that hardly anybody remembers their '02 hit "Get Over It", which I've listened to many times (primarily because of my Triple Play '02 Baseball PS2 Game). "Get Over It" was a sizeable alternative hit (peaking around #22, I believe) and if memory serves me correctly, actually made a small dent on the bottom end of the pop chart.
Yeah, they're really a pretty cute and harmless band, if they aren't doing anything highly original. They remind me considerably of Hot Hot Heat. Is making a video like this innovative and interesting? Yes. Is it a little bit of an unfair method for catapulting your song onto the upper echelons of popularity or gaining a profit? Maybe. But I don't see them promoting the hell out of the video or song, so that's okay, I guess.
And dammit, this is rock 'n' roll, unlike what Austin Winkler would have you believe.

I remember it quite well. Hell, I'm surprised it only hit #22 because I remember hearing it constantly on WPBZ back then. They played the annual Buzz Bake Sale concert later that year, and may have had one of the largest crowds of fans out of the 15 or 16 bands there. I remember lots of people were moshing and crowd surfing, which kind of surprises me since they're not really that "type" of band.

I remember it pretty well too. I thought it was a cool song, but it wasn't a very good representation of what the band does. The screaming made me think they were going for a Papa Roach sound or something.
