The first single from his upcoming album Nightcrawler, which is due in stores on August 29. One of my favorite singer-songwriters. I can't help but compare this guy's image and singing voice to that of maybe a Yield-era Eddie Vedder. This song sounds even more soothing and melodic than his previous singles. Not sure this will do much here, but he'll definitely get moderate HAC success.

Unfortunately I can't be sure of that, given he's already released four really melodic singles to date, and all of which have barely touched the Hot AC format. "Crystal Village" and "For Nancy" were screaming to be hits. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This is a good track, but he should have gone with "Georgie Boy" as the first single. That is an awesome track, and so different for Yorn. Regardless of which singles are released from NIGHTCRAWLER, the album is great.
Despite being a fan for a long time, I have never seen him in concert. But, I will finally have the chance next month at the Lakewood Theatre in Dallas. Can't wait. He's one of my favorite artists right now!

I saw Pete in Rochester this summer...man, are you in for a treat. Best live show I've seen in a long time. This guy has so much energy and skill. I met him in person before the show, and he's actually very shy and quiet. Enjoy the show!
As for the new album, I can't get enough of it. Nightcrawler is so diverse, from the countryesque "The Man" with Natalie Maines to the pop-rocky "Alive," which is destined to be a hit somewhere along the line.

It had a very disappointing debut at #50 on the Billboard 200 and has failed to show any sign of stability on the chart. This is a great album, and it deserves far more than what it has gotten thus far. The promotion for this is shameful from his label, where "For Us" didn't even make the Top 10 at Triple A by the time the album was released. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I guess it's somewhat puzzling that Jack Johnson has continued to do well throughout his albums, and, yet, he has never really developed his sound. As for Pete Yorn, he was never as much of a "cult-favorite" as Jack. Some people may even view him as another singer/songwriter riding the John Mayer/Jack Johnson wave of early '02, which isn't at all fair because Yorn actually came out first. Yorn also really hasn't developed his sound like Mayer has, and has no pop career to build off of.
I'm pulling for this guy, because he's easily my favorite singer-songwriter, well, Hell, possibly ever. *Edit* OK, probably not.

Sincerely, Noah Eaton Well, he is currently opening for the Dixie Chicks at sold-out arenas. So that should give him some much needed exposure with people who mainly listen to country. I think he will covert more than one of this tour.

The new album is great, much more like his first album than the second. The lack of promotion by the label is puzzling though.
