Third single. The band is currently making a video for it. Honestly, I wish they'd do Nuthin' Good About Goodbye instead, but at least this song is less hokey than the previous singles.

What? Ugh, this is totally disapointed. I agree, it should've been Nuthin Good About Goodbye...that or Bliss.

This shall completely bomb. I like the song, but it's definitely not radio material. Either NGAGB or homecoming queen would've been better picks.

I'm not their biggest fan either but I don't think this song will bomb. I haven't heard the album and don't know if their were better choices than this, but I definately don't think this song is bad. It's catchy....if slightly disposable....and his voice does really bugs me in this song. Still, my prediction is that it will be a moderate success.

LOL at them slamming OK Go and Thursday, when they themselves are one of the worst bands out right now, they have no place to talk. Sounds like sour grapes to me, what a bunch of @ssholes. I hope they flop.

I hate Hinder now. Thursday is my favorite band with the exception of Tool..Hinder's stuff isn't all that impressive. It's a CD full of power ballads. I hope "How Long" bombs.

Wow. I was planning on giving them a #1, but after that, no way. It's articles like these that made me go from not minding Saliva to hating them.

I wouldn't take Austin's comments seriously at all. The only real problem I have with his comments are Hinder will likely never be as big as the bands that inspire them, and they have only been in the "rock" scene for less than 6 months and didn't even begin to taste real success until their tour this past summer.
I just love the fact that there are different styles of "rock 'n' roll". I would consider indie-pop leaning groups like the Raconteurs and OK Go "rock 'n' roll" as well as harder-edged/metal groups like Tool or Nine Inch.
On the contrary, I wouldn't consider bands like Thursday "rock" but they are heavily influenced by rock, as well as other genres. They are beating a dead horse: there will always be a segment of the young population that will love emo-leaning punk as long as it is around. Thursday, in my opinion (along with many other similar bands) are also a thousand times more musically innovative and talented as Hinder.
I'll wait to listen to "How Long" on the radio before I judge it, but I would take these comments with a grain of salt.

It doesn't really matter if they bomb now since their album's on the road to platinum country, but I hope their sophomore slump hits them in the balls.

I only detest those comments because they already were 2 for 2 in creating singles for the "worst rock song of the year" list, but yeah, I can't wait to dance on these fucktards' graves now.

Didn't Nicholas refer to Josey Scott slamming bands like the Strokes and the Vines back in '02 because they weren't "rock and roll"? I never heard about this, I'm just judging by what Nicholas said.

Where did Saliva enter this story? Some article a while back where Josey Scott was an a**hole about pretty much everything. Read the older posts. Well that explains that. It just seemed to come way out of left field the way you said it. I thought maybe you accidentally typed in the wrong band. I didn't know that Josey said that about the Vines and the Strokes. Kind of odd since he's listening to Jet now. But then as you guys said, that was back in 2002. Maybe he's changed his mind since then.

I was thinking it was because both Hinder and Saliva, much like Guns-N-Roses, AC/DC, or Motley Crue, just wanna straight-up rawwwk out with their c**k out!!!!11 Both bands straight out the traila and are, for the record, quite badass much like their nu-metal peers.

But...they don't rock. I mean, Hinder's full of hair-metal and power ballads. It's not bad, but it's not "straight-up rawwwk".
Then again, I never really liked Motley Crue in the first place.

I love this song but I don't see it being as big as "Lips of an Angel" & I personally think "Nothin' Good About Goodbye" would've been a better choice.

Agreed. But this is the next best thing. They made the wrong choice with this and will make the wrong choice when they release "Better Than Me" over "By the Way".

I heard this the other day on my Active Rock station. I remember it being more bearable than their previous two singles, but also remember it being kind of a mess. I think the success of "Lips" will probably help this get to the low-twenties at least. And whatever their next CHR/Pop single is will probably do well enough anyway. It's really good to hear your voice.......
