wm.allaccess.com/allaccess/ladysuga.wmaI really liked the Bjork-esque feel of "Destroy Everything You Touch" but this song leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The repetitiveness of it and stupid lyrics are what ruin it for me. They are playing near my area in October but I have lost interest in checking them out now. I also hear that most electronic bands are boring live and lack energy.

I've loved everything I've heard from Ladytron so far. They could have picked a better second single though. Of course, its also a damn shame that Destroy Everything You Touch didn't see too much airplay. One of the best singles this year.
For a second single off of Witching Hour, I'd have gone with High Rise or International Dateline.

I loved "Seventeen" when that was out 4 years ago. Haven't gotten to hear much of anything else by them since then, though.

Shame, but I think if "Destroy Everything You Touch" couldn't break through, no Ladytron song ever will.*
* unless they're featured in some TV show or make some cult video.

They need a time machine to breakthrough. If DEYT was released in the 80s it would've been a smash.

This is a cool little song. I wish it would do well.

I was listening to this on the way to work the other day, and although I'd still go with International Dateline or High Rise; I see absolutely nothing wrong with Sugar. Its just a short pop song with some lyrics that aren't overly complicated and some good beats.
It won't see the light of day outside XM and Sirius, but Ladytron need to get some airplay and soon. It's making me realise how many female artists and female led bands are out there that SHOULD be played on alternative.
Ladytron, Metric, Sleater-Kinney (if they ever come back from hiatus), Alison Goldfrapp, Rainer Maria, Powder, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Regina Spektor, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Cat Power, Beth Orton, Sia/Zero 7, Schoolyard Heroes, Tegan and Sara, Lady Sovereign (yes I'd play her on alternative and she has a song out now) amongst a ton of others I can't think of right off the top of my head should have some kind of presence on alternative. There's really no excuse for a lack of females right now.

I cannot stop listening to it. Too bad the Shiny Toy Guns stole their time machine. and I just saw the video. I have to say that they are a pretty attractive band.

ROCK. And so does electronic-based music. LADYTRON ARE MY GOD(DESSE?)S. Their videos are killer, too. They better not play their videos too much, though - that will only expose all the other MTV videos as the steaming piles of shit that they are. And we'd hate for that to happen.
