My comment was a jab at No Brakes. I guess the Killers aren't "emo" in the definition most people give "emo", but that's another topic. I was trying to be a dick. I apologize.

I really don't hate this band but I just saw the Bones video. LOL! It is actually a really cool concept and very expensive looking. However, it would have been better if the song wasn't so bad and Brandon Flowers wasn't in it. Really where were they headed with this song?

Really where were they headed with this song? I don't get it either. How is feeling each others bones sexy?

What are you talking about? I didn't say anything about emo. I said Bones shouldn't have been released next, what's wrong with that. I thin most people would agree with me on this board about that statement you moron.

And again, Bones is going to be a huge FLOP. However, Read My Mind will take off by default, like how it is, and not have a video for a while, but it will still save this album.

Both of them are pretty much climbing at the same rate. Bones is actually climbing faster, maybe cause it's the official single. I still don't see why you're so positive about this. I think you're going to end up eating your words. Not that I want either song as a single. I wanted Sam's Town. :'(

Bones deserves to be huge. I mean, are we listening to the same song?!?! Bones is damned infectious. More so to me than even Brightside. However, I also LOVE Sam's Town. I do not remember what Read My Mind sounds like.

I'll have to hear this a few more times to decide how it compares to the Hot Fuss singles, and I haven't heard "Read My Mind" or "Sam's Town", but I will say that this is a heck of a lot better than "When You Were Young", which IMHO is one of the worst alternative singles of the year.

This AND Read My Mind are picking up on Alt. RMM actually has a bigger bullet. I hope that doesn't hurt Bones' performance on the chart too much.
I still love Bones, but RMM is the big hit off the album IMO. I can't wait for a release date for it.

I hope this doesn't slow down in the future. I'm hoping for a top 10 finish.

So, according to FMQB, Read My Mind will be the 3rd single from Sam's Town. However, right now they only have an adds date on the Pop format sometime in January (TBD). The question is...will they do the same for Alternative?

Well I think we can spell F-L-O-P on this one now.
It's a shame because this is actually one of the several tracks I like from an overall weak sophomore album, in my opinion ("Read My Mind" and "For Reasons Unknown" being the other two decent tracks)
I'm still baffled by how successful "When You Were Young" was here but heavily underperforming on mainstream radio (I thought the opposite would happen, where it would have a fast rise and fast fall here, while being a bigger hit on mainstream radio)
In any case, though "Bones" was one of the better tracks from this album in my opinion, I also admit it was never a strong single candidate. I also expect "Read My Mind" not to do much here, but could have potential to deliever a moderate hit to Top 40 radio (then again, I was wrong on "WYWY", though I don't think I'll be wrong this time around in that it's a notably slower, more atmospheric track that takes time to build up.)
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Future Shop had it for $4.99 last week! The only CD that I could find that was that cheap. They must have been overstocked with it or something. Wow!

I guess this album won't be selling 3,000,000 like their debut, but it should get close to two million right? lol
besides, album downloads are taking over
