^Not exactly the smash they were probably hoping for, huh? Any word on the next single? Since Revelations is still moving up on the Mainstream rock and Active rock charts, and has just started to get radio play on my 2 local Alternative outlets, I doubt another single will be started until this one peaks.

It doesn't have to be started. I didn't mean to come off as trying to bury "Revelations". I was just wondering if a follow-up single had been announced.
For example, Muse's "Starlight" is still moving up on Modern Rock, but we have some idea of what single is coming next. Same with Incubus before that... seems to happen a lot, that's all.

I can see them releasing one more single...likely between Until We Fall and Wide Awake, but no video and they'll be headed into hiatus with Cornell's solo effort coming out next year.

They didn't even tour for Revelations, so I think it has done well without tour support.
I would love for Chris to have a smash with his solo CD. If he tours anywhere near me, I will be there. As a front man for a group, I don't think he has really gotten the kind of recognition he should have. Hopefully, the solo project will get him there.

As a front man for a group, I don't think he has really gotten the kind of recognition he should have. Are you kidding me?? Nope. Not kidding. Rock fans know who he is. The rest of the musical fandom, not so much. Just one huge solo hit on pop radio could change that in a hurry. Or an Oscar for You Know My Name could also change that in a hurry. www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Music/Content?oid=oid:90754
"Best of the Year
Our critics opine on their favorites from 2006Gene Armstrong
"Revelations," Audioslave, Revelations (Epic/Sony)
More rock! The year's best kiss-off song is sarcasm incarnate. Tom Morello shreds pop-metal conventions, and Chris Cornell is the 21st-century Robert Plant. "

Not bad. Sales are down 42% from last week, but it was a smaller drop than most, enabling the CD to move up to #139.
Revelations, the single, seems to be helping Revelations, the CD.
