Goes for adds October 9th. This is the first single from his debut album called Drama Queen, which currently is released in Canada and only has an October release in Europe. UK and US dates are up in the air.
Judging from the songs on MySpace, it's kind of like Celldweller on the surface. Guy puts together electronic-rock songs in the studio, heavy edge to most of them. Fearless is slower than the other ones and actually I could see it getting some spins on pop if it goes that far. Not nearly as good as Celldweller though.
The lyrical content is.....interesting, if nothing else. So Many Faces is pretty funny, it's basically bashing Ashlee Simpson the whole way through.

Not nearly as good as Celldweller though. Holy smoke. Have we discussed Celldweller before? I dig that record. And if not for a good friend of mine, I'd have no idea who they are /(he is?).

I can't wait for him to finish that sophomore album if only for the huge b-sides album he'll release afterward.

See, he's not mainstream enough for me to have read anything about him working on new stuff. And I don't care enough to go to his site and look for any info. Basically, when I see the new album listed as being released on mtv.com's weekly update, I'll find out and be interested.

I love how he's so obscure and yet he's one of the only artists ever to have every single song from his album licensed for use in other media. I think he might be the only one, actually.

Well, I know they've had more success, but VAST had the entire Nude album licensed to MTV's The Real World, I can't recall which season. Also, the first album had many tracks that appeared on the TV series Angel (4 of 'em).

I can't really think of a better place to put this where it will be seen and read, and since it has to do with licensing, why not.
I was just reading up on the latest happenings of that rap-punk hybrid known as Zebrahead, and it turns out that they're recording the new theme song for Sonic The Hedgehog for PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be called "His World".
I think that is cool beyond words that not only does Zebrahead get so much more respect in Japan than over here that they get to star their music in a highly-anticipated video game release, but that Sega trusts the band's chops enough to allow them to create a theme for one of the most enduring icons of the industry, only second to Nintendo's characters.
Man, why isn't Zebrahead big here? They so should be.
