They have the promo single cover on their Myspace.
This will be going for adds quite soon and has started getting picked up.
Perfect choice, just what I expected. I don't think many people really thought different.
I'm hoping for Evil Angel next.
This album is ON FIYAH!%#%
Take your pick because most of the songs are single worthy.

This is a great choice, that's all I have to say. I want Until The End to be third though. Or Topless, although that would have to be edited.

Best. Choice. Of. All. Time. LOL.
Seriously though, this song is just too amazing for words. I know its going out on a limb, but this is honestly one of my top 10 songs of all time. Its that good.

Definitely the best choice the band could have chosen for a single. I know its not the most radio friendly song, but it absolutely freaking rocks. If this doesn't do as well as the Diary Of Jane, I wouldn't be surprised, but it damn well SHOULD go straight to #1.

I think this is a great choice and that it's actually pretty radio friendly. This will definitely go top5 at Rock/Active.

Wow I think I'll be the first to disagree but not totally...not that "Breath" is not a great song because it is- but I really wanted "Dance With The Devil" which I thought would have been a great choice too. But I have to say, this is their safest bet for a hit and probably the smartest choice too...I think "Here We Are" will make a great third single.

Yep. Another hit for Breaking Benjamin.
I love how they really haven't even made the slightest attempt to "follow the trend" of today's artists, as all too many great artists tend to do to keep up with the times. In fact, if anything, they're stuck in 2002. And to me, that's a very good thing.
I'm pleased once again. They've really developed their sound since their Saturate days. Another top 5 active hit; this one will definitely experience longevity on the alternative chart as well.

No, and there's no FMQB link either for people who know a better site when they see one.
This doesn't even have an official add date yet.

I would've gone with In The End. Breath isn't a bad choice, though.

Wow, more amazingness from Breaking Benjamin. I'm glad they chose something harder, and veered away from something like "Sooner or Later" (not that "Sooner" was a bad song). May they continue their dominance atop the alternative charts (AR is more or less a given).

Sooner or Later was probably their best song so far, but this one is great too...It's time for them to hit #1...

Sooner or Later was probably their best song so far, but this one is great too...It's time for them to hit #1... "Never" is the time for them to hit #1. They don't deserve one. Top 10? Top 5? Whatever. But their music is too generic and tailor-made for radio to earn a #1. I'm expect this'll rub some folks the wrong way...

Their music is a tad generic, but I still think they deliver solid, straight forward rock music that is somewhat refreshing considering all the other music played on alternative stations. Plus, I think they have above average vocals (some may disagree with that, but I think the lead singer is an engaging vocalist) I hope I can hear this soon.

I put Breaking Benjamin in the same boat that I put Three Days Grace in the sense that I never dislike any of the singles, but I'm always expecting not to like whatever's coming next. I would say that between those two, I prefer 3DG since their songs just seem catchier, and therefore, more memorable to me. Whereas Breaking Benjamin's songs are memorable just on the basis of having them beaten into my head so many times. But I'm splitting hairs; I don't really care too much for either of them.

I actually think he's a well above average vocalist. They have definitely progressed since Saturate. Now they're capable of taking on nice melodic ballads ("Forget It") and dramatic mid-tempos like "Diary" and "So Cold". Nicholas' statement is like saying "I hope _X_ politician never becomes President." I'll take this band over the Killers being #1 every day. This whole X band is generic thing is cheap and trendy. Seriously, what bands actually make original music nowadays anyway? And who said that's such an important factor in determining great music? As long as it doesn't sound cliche (which Benjamin don't), then don't pile on like you know something. I hope they score at least two more decent-sized hits from the album.

I like generic bands as much as the next guy, but I think it's a little stupid to say that no band creates original music. Maybe if we're speaking in a completely fresh, never-before-heard kind of way, but does anything the Mars Volta have made really sound like any other band? I mean, other than At The Drive-In, which is expected.
I think you can sound original without being fresh. The Killers aren't fresh, but I think they sound different than any other band on the radio right now, including the ones trying to ape their success. Same with My Chemical Romance. Yeah, they have Queen in them, and Green Day, and a few other things, but do they sound like anything else around now? It's just a testament to these bands that they're not only able to spark a trend, but lead it like they are and stay two steps ahead of the rest. Maybe I'm giving them way too much credit, but if I am, it's only to make my point, which is that there are bands out there that have an identifiable sound that's not just trying to copy everything else around them.

Rubbing me the wrong way for sure because I absolutely love this band (and feel they have plenty of songs that take risks and sound different- not so much on Phobia but very much so on Saturate). I find them to be probably the only band that I know for sure will continue to deliver while others I am always worried will go downhill. And I've never been a fan of weird/indie bands that make uncatchy music 'different' just for the sake of it. And I completely agree with a comment made earlier that there is a distinction between "generic" and "cliche", with the later often being the worse of the two.

Well, I'll gladly tell you which bands don't make the epitome of generic modern rock: My Chemical Romance Incubus Tool The Killers AFI Red Hot Chili Peppers 30 Seconds to Mars Raconteurs Deftones OK Go Muse Angels & Airwaves Gnarls Barkley Say Anything Panic! at the Disco Beck Shiny Toy Guns U2 Sparta The Shins These are arguable: Stone Sour Evanescence Snow Patrol +44 Blue October Taking Back Sunday Pepper Audioslave Wolfmother Kill Hannah Pete Yorn Rise Against Note the names I left off: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Three Days Grace Hinder Papa Roach Disturbed Plain White T's Army of Anyone Jet Shinedown Saosin Flyleaf Bullet for My Valentine

Well, I think you could actually hold reasonable debates for all of those bands, since it's a matter of opinion when you boil everything down. I don't think Disturbed is particularly generic, in that I think they've pretty much set themselves apart from the other heavy rock/nu-metal bands, in much the same way that you're setting Rise Against, Angels And Airwves, The Killers, and AFI apart from their peers.

The first two generic bands that come to mind are Crossfade and Shinedown. Crossfade is just plain bland and boring, and Shinedown doesn't do much of anything (in fact, "Save Me" is one of the most generic rock songs I've ever heard.)

It's all faceless, anonymous bleak rock to me. However, I feel less inclined to express this publicly since it seems a lot of people actually like this. I don't want any drama, haha. But from what I've read of some of your other posts, I think we feel the same way about the format right now.

Yeah, but I don't want to diss Crossfade too much, since they've reduced themselves to PMing us on the forums about our opinions. :(

^^ You've got Nickelback in your top5 , yet you call Crossfade generic , sorry , don't take it personal , but I just don't get it.
I'd say that about 50% percent of what's being played on rock/alt radio is generic , and it has always been that way.

...Well, I'm a sucker for Nickelback. There, I said it.
Heck, even LOOA was good until everyone and their dog loved it. I think it hit a low when my science teacher gushed how good it was.

I have to agree with almost everything on that list Nicholas made, and I totally agree that Crossfade and Shinedown sound extremely similar to plenty of other bands out there. However, that "generic" term never seemed to bother me as there's maybe only 5 artists on there that I don't really care for since I'm into such a variety (actually I like every band in the "generic" section). I listen to a lot of pop-punk/emo stuff, and the majority of them have hardly any differences from one another, but that never made me dislike one "Band B" because they sounded exactly like "Band A."
