Well, its finally out. WCCC in Hartford played this yesterday and announced it as the fiirst single from "Chinese Democracy". It will also be part of a Harley Davidson campaign.
The song is upbeat, very melodic yet still true guitar rock. The end has a real strange sound to it, but it doesn't ruin the song. I can see it doing very well.
I see on Mediabase, WCCC is the only station playing it right now. Interesting.

I guess that makes it the second GnR song to have debuted on a station without an album (yet) this year.
They should have really struck when the iron was hot and IRS came out.
I can see it being #1 just for the name...but for how long?

I freakin LOVE this song. I heard it a while back and I've been listening to it ever since. "IRS" is a great song too. I hope the CD actually comes out this year.

I wonder if Guns 'N' Roses could score their first alternative hit, considering they haven't really released anything in over twelve years. Considering how Metallica have scored some minor hits here (and a relatively major one in "I Disappear") and how Velvet Revolver have a couple Top 10's to show, I bet G&R could shell out a top twenty on the alt. format, at least. I'm anxious to hear this song.

Axl Rose is the only one still in the band, correct? Will this even sound like old G'NR?

yeah Axl is the only original left in the band. so this makes for the 5th first single off the new album? I'll only believe it when I walk into work and see it sitting there. the only good thing about this album in my opinion... andy wallace is mixing. its the master of that right now.

This song is awesome. It's all I've been listening too. Is there an official adds date yet?

yeah Axl is the only original left in the band. OK, my bad. Carry on. I'm like a pop listener when it comes to G&R. I like listening to them on the radio (love their singles) but have never downloaded or bought any song by them. I wonder how others on here think this will do on the alternative format? No, I wouldn't call Guns alternative, but they do inspire many alternative bands. I guess that's for another topic altogether.
