Clear Channel changed CHR-Pop KIZS (Kiss) Tulsa to a simulcast of CHR-Rhythmic KTBT, with a new format to be put on one of the stations later. The radio station ratings call KIZS Hot AC but they are on the CHR-Pop panel. Tulsa is left with CHR-Pop KHTT which is currently third in the ratings. KSLY San Luis Obispo is changing formats according to All Access Net News. Both KIZS and KSLY have ratings in the 2s.

The frequency that was KTBT Tulsa (before it moved to the frequency of the former CHR-Pop KIZS) changed to Spanish Oldies in a market with not many Hispanics.

According to www.ksly.com KSLY/San Luis Obispo flips to "Cat Country 96.1" :o That was a pretty abrupt switch. I literally was listening to KSLY as a chr/pop, parked, left my car for 15 minutes (to go meet someone who djs for another country station, ironically), came back, and it was playing country. They kept a lot of the talent from the old station - how normal is that? Seems kind of odd, but maybe CC didn't want to have to go through hiring new people?

The frequency that was KTBT Tulsa (before it moved to the frequency of the former CHR-Pop KIZS) changed to Spanish Oldies in a market with not many Hispanics. Why didn't it go tropical or regional Mexican? It's Tulsa's first Spanish FMer. Milwaukee's first Spanish FMer was regional Mexican La GranD 104.7, Tampa's first Spanish FMer was WYUU (La Nueva 92.5), a tropical-based format. You can't support Hurban or Spanish oldies if a market is missing a tropical or regional Mexican.
