The album didn't really leak; it's just demo versions from what I hear, and that's why the tracklisting is off and doesn't include the intro. There is a track called Fin, but it is not the same song as Inevitable. I think your Fin was misnamed. Taken from Wikipedia, here is the final tracklisting and the appropriate marked times for most songs.
01. "(Début)" 02. "Godspeed" -3:04 03. "Adelaide" -3:13 04. "A Whisper and a Clamor" -3:14 05. "The Unwinding Cable Car" -4:14 06. "There Is No Mathematics to Love or Loss" -3:25 07. "Hello Alone" -3:39 08. "Alexithymia" -3:47 09. "Reclusion" -3:21 10. "Inevitable" -3:47 11. "Dismantle.Repair." -4:18 12. "(*Fin)" -6:19
On Special Edition Only: 13. "Haunting" -5:54 14. "There Is a Light that Never Goes Out" 15. "The Promise"

I like Anberlin and all, but the 'Debut' and 'Fin' are really pretentious of them.

Intro and Outro get boring. Live with it.

And from the time it sounds like Fin is actual song anyway.

Yeah, this is messed up. Not surprising though; "The Symphony of Blase" was called "Amsterdam" up until the last minute from what I know. And the song called "Reclusion" on the file I obtained is actually "Alexithymia" (it's up on their myspace). There is a track called Fin, but it is not the same song as Inevitable. I think your Fin was misnamed. I think it's the other way around. "Fin*" is described on their myspace as "sprawling and epic", so that's definitely a real song, and I think I have it.

If they're promoting their album to be their best ever, wouldn't they want to keep the lot of their tracks under wraps?
I don't know if this is an album they're planning to cross over with and have an Underoath like sales week, but I think they're going about it the wrong way.

You said you had both Inevitable and Fin and you marked Inevitable as being six minutes long. I'm saying your Fin was probably misnamed as Inevitable.

It's already too late to hope for Underoath-type sales. They would have made at least some kind of radio push, since they don't have the underground popularity of a band like Underoath. They have 0 spins at Alternative with all of their songs.

The album leaked. "Alexithymia" has a line that goes, "Addictions fill the table where the family used to sit and conversate, conversate to the sounds, to the sounds of a record player." I'm embarrassed for them. (The word "conversate" is technically in the Webster's dictionary, but deemed slang. I don't think they meant to use slang in this song.) That irritates the hell out of me when people (usually the hip hop scene) say "conversate." It's " converse," you jackasses!

The album is now on their Myspace.
Godspeed is probably the best track on the album IMO.
Hello Alone isn't bad, but overall this isn't going to be the album they wanted it to be.

AbsolutePunk is reporting that Anberlin's new album is expected to sell around 35k in its first week.
Jeez, that's like 5 posts today I made that was news reported by them.

HITS Daily Double has this at #38 with 9,384 sold and 55% of retailers in. But I also heard that it's supposed to get a lot of its sales from Christian record stores, which HITS doesn't count, so it's probably looking at at top-30 debut. Better than I expected, for sure.
Any opinions on the album now that it's been out for a week? I know the whole album is up for streaming on the site now, but for a few days they had "Godspeed", "Adelaide", "Alexithymia" and "Dismantle.Repair." up. By and large I think those were good choices -- "Alexithymia" and "DR" are probably my 2 favorites on the album. "(*Fin)" has another 2-plus minutes of hardly-intelligible lyrics from Stephen tacked onto the end (compared to the early version I heard), which I think was kind of unnecessary. "Adelaide" is probably their best shot at a radio hit, but I don't think it has as much potential as "A Day Late" did.

#15 debut on HITS! :o
14 14 NICKELBACK ROADRUNNER 41,022 -25% ALL THE RIGHT REASONS -- 15 ANBERLIN TOOTH & NAIL 39,621 -- CITIES 10 16 JOHN MAYER AWARE/COLUMBIA 34,162 -59% CONTINUUM 13 17 CARRIE UNDERWOOD ARISTA/RMG 33,787 -43% SOME HEARTS 21 18 DREAMGIRLS:MUSIC FROM THE... COLUMBIA/SMS 32,316 -19% SOUNDTRACK -- 19 TOBYMAC FOREFRONT RECORDS 30,233 -- PORTABLE SOUNDS
The official SoundScan debut is #19. (TobyMac ended up #10, making me think Anberlin got negligible Christian bookstore sales and TobyMac got significant sales.)

impressive debute, what did they say on your myspace? Nothing really, just "Buy our album at Best Buy, Target, etc for only $7.99!", which I did the next day (I bought the special edition with 3 extra songs and a DVD for $9.99).

Wow, I guess they delayed it quite a bit. FMQB has this going for adds now on April 30th. I can't assume its going to do that well or may not even hit the Top 50. It's a shame since I think it's one of the best songs out there currently.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed yet again. "Paperthin Hymn" was supposed to go for adds in summer '05, but didn't end up doing so until the end of the year or thereabouts.

Tooth & Nail delays everything. A similar thing happened to the new Undearoath and Classic Crime singles.

That reminds me, my brain is kind of fried now at 1:12am, but do you know if there have ever been any other bands from Bore-lan-do ::cough:: Orlando that have actually had a moderate radio hit besides Seven Mary Three and Matchbox 20? I know there's Trivium and Big 10-4, but I don't feel I should really include them just yet. I remember there was a whole list on Wikipedia of bands from Florida, but I can't seem to find it.
