Edit: Somebody on radio-info posted that Chicago never lost Oldies because they have WRLL-AM, but that station is currently 29th in the ratings.

I haven't been to Chicago since 1996, but I do recall listening to an Oldies staion which was located at 95.9 FM and was licensed to a suburb on the far west side of the city.
I'm not sure if it's still in existence.

That new oldies station in Chicago is utilizing the 'True Oldies' format created by WPLJ's Scott Shannon, which has around 30 affiliates.
Shannon will also be doing mornings on that station while the search is on for a new morning show.
