This new group is a combination of Chad and Greg from Mudvayne, Tom and Jerry (lol) from Nothingface, and Big Vinnie Paul, who needs no introduction. Vocals, guitar, guitar, bass, and drums respectively. Their debut album comes out on April 10th through Epic and sounds like a combination of Mudvayne and Pantera according to most reports. Two tracks, "Matter Of Time" and "Hellyeah" can be heard on their MySpace. No word on what the first single will be. I'm voting on the title track, just because what a way to introduce yourself to the world.

You beat me to the punch on this one. I will add that the MySpace tracks are downloadable.

I'm very sad I didn't know about this... I didn't even see this coming.
It's very good material! I do believe I will indefinitely purchase [download] this album.
Damn us poor people.
Oh well.
So far, I'm expecting good thing from this groups collaboration.

It must be a pretty slow month for heavy music news because Hellyeah are already on the cover of the brand new issue of Revolver.
In other news, Vinnie said this was the best album he's collaborated on since Vulgar Display of Power. :o
I'll probably have to get this out of obligation for Mudvayne and Pantera.

Matter of Time is being played on KXTE-FM Las Vegas, my favorite alternative station (which is actually more of an alt/active hybrid). Makes me miss K-Rock

I like how on FMQB they spell Hellyeah in all caps, so it's like HELLYEAH!

This will peak around #40 if it's lucky. 40% of the format won't even touch this.

Certainly songs from Mudvayne, not to mention Slipknot, Korn, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Disturbed, Linkin Park, and System Of A Down have all done well in the past, so I'm sure this will get at least some airplay.

This sounds pretty good. They're playing it on XM's Squizz right now.
It's perfect psycho southern rock!
My favorite part is the breakdown.

I think Hellyeah is the best name for a band ever.

I don't think it's possible to name your band that without having a sense of humor about it. I'm amused, so the name's cool with me...

Already #37 on the Active Rock charts. If this keeps up, this should be a top 10.

I read about that brilliant song title the other day, when I finally got up to reading their Revolver issue. Does it refer to great velocity that's alcohol-influenced? Or is it a tribute to alcohol and ass? Does it even matter?

So Nothingface's Jerry Montano is already out of the band. That was fast...

Even faster, they replaced him with Bobzilla.

This song doesn't really compare to a lot of Mudvayne singles imo, although that may not be a fair comparison...

Okay, now they're denying the Bobzilla thing. My bad.

This song doesn't really compare to a lot of Mudvayne singles imo, although that may not be a fair comparison... I listened to this album in the store one night the week it came out and, though I was too preoccupied working, I was disappointed by how polished it ended up. If I had the disposable cash, I would've bought it immediately, but I still do wanna get it at some point. Hopefully soon.
