Just heard this for the first time. I wasn't sure what i was originally expecting but I think it's pretty good. I think it sounds incredibly like Bring Me To Life.

This may be one of the best songs I've heard this year and it probably deserves better than what's doing. I looks to have no real future on Alternative since it's at #90 on there with a bullet of +10. However on Active Rock it's at #44 with a bullet of +42, so it may do decently on there. Like I've said earlier, I think it sounds very much like Bring Me To Life, so it not having much success puzzles me a bit, but then again that was 2003 and this is 2007 and music has changed a bit over the past four years on what does well.

Oh, I thought it's already been out on radio for a few weeks now. Well then I guess it still has hope since most stations don't play something until it officially goes for adds unless its a huge band like Linkin Park for example.

Yeah, it started getting airplay a few weeks ago which I thought was odd, but I do think it went for adds this past week. It was the first week of July originally, but they pushed the date up.
I have been following its progress... it started to slow done in the mid-50's last week but its taken off in the past few days.

Within Temptation is to Evanescense as to Willa Ford is to Madonna Yeah, except one's been around a lot longer. It's kind of like how people compare Lacuna Coil to Evanescence. Not really fair.

A little irony to that is that Within Temptation went on a small American tour with Lacuna Coil in May.

I believe that's the result of Warner teaming up with Atlantic and Roadrunner late last year.
This is doing reasonably well...hey, at least for now, it's ahead of LP's Bleed it Out.

Within Temptation is to Evanescense as to Willa Ford is to Madonna LOL. I have a friend who loves both bands (moreso Within Temptation though), and one time he told me he was sick of everyone comparing Evanescence to WT, so I changed my MSN name to "Within Temptation Are Like Evanescence".

Bought the album and it's not all that bad. I'm not fawning over it...I doubt that they'll have much success after WHYD...but I dig some of it.
I like the symphonic sound...it gives their sound some bounce...but they should cut down on the operatic vocals a bit.
I think the title track would probably be the best single choice. Frozen is the second single overseas.

i really wish this one did better... Me too since it's such an underrated song. As Jerry Seinfeld would say "That's a shame"

Saw them on Friday for their headlining tour at Irving Plaza and for not expecting to see them until the night before, I was thoroughly impressed with their set. As far as bands I've seen for the first time, their set ranks just behind Flyleaf and Seether.
They play festivals with 50,000 people watching them, so this wasn't anything particularly new or difficult for them...although Sharon mentioned that it was like starting over.

Speaking of their live show, this is a performance of their hit with Keith Caputo...one of the first times that's happened live...anytime you generally see WT, they perform it with a backing tape. This performance is being taped as you can see by the roving cameras...for a DVD that's going to be released sometime later this year. It will be Within Temptation's Black Symphony....their own version of S & M in which they perform backed by an orchestra.
