Video debuted at www.mtvu.com/Apparently, this is getting something of a radio release. This is the video from the show. The album Korn: MTV Unplugged will be released March 6th. I know that normally acoustic songs/covers from these types of CDs don't get extensive pushes or releases...but I think this version of the song definitely deserves a push. This is definitely different from what I expected.

While I kind of like the way Amy Lee fits in here, I'd rather see the two of them make a brand new song instead of one that every kid in my freshman year of high school were singing in the hallways at lunchtime.

Anyway, I'm interested in the unplugged album just because it's always neat to hear heavy songs stripped down into low-key affairs, but I really want word on their new album.

Aside from this, I'd like to hear In Between Days. If this is any indication of their album, I'll probably just have to get it. It seems completely unnatural though for Korn to be backed by pianos lol.

This is going to shock some...but I think this is quite excellent. I saw the video this morning. The arrangements are intricate & haunting. I am no "fan" of either artist, however, I think the two compliment each other really well on this track. The Middle Eastern bridge paired with Amy's "wails" sent chills down my spine. This song has always been Korn's best, as far as I'm concerned, and I believe this reinterpretation of it is daring and worthy of praise.

Not a big fan of either artist either but much applause to Korn for trying something that could easily alienate a lot of their fans.

Agreed. The challenge that they are presenting is part of what makes it commendable.

I just can't wait for the Cure collaboration. That's going to piss people off.

I don't really care for this at all. Musically, it was interesting to see how it was arranged, but it's just not a song appropriate for an acoustic rendition.
And it's lame that if they weren't going to leave in the f-word in the chorus, they didn't bother to replace it with anything. I also thought Jon ruined the bridge by scatting "go" into every measure. I could go on, but no one needs to read every single detail I didn't like.

It was pretty much set in stone that they were going to have the video played a lot on MTV, but what's surprising me in the early going is that the song is receiving a lot of airplay as well. Top 50 Active Rock and headed towards Top 60 on Alternative.

This is shaping up to become a decent sized rock radio hit for them. It definitely feels like their eyeing for crossover success with this one.

Five bucks says the massive airplay is just cause everyone's switching over their recurrent for the new version.

Amy Lee has the most annoying style voice, and I can not stand to hear it anymore! She makes KoRn sound bad!

I commend them for trying something different, but this just doesn't work. It might've been good if they just stuck with the dynamics of the verses, but things fall apart once they hit the chorus, and the bridge is really a mess.

it's always interesting to hear metal bands do acoustic versions of their songs. I don't think I'll buy the album, but I'll give it a good listen.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I'm actually going to buy this. I definitely want to hear the whole thing, though. And I still would like to hear their "screwed & chopped" songs they put out last year. I guess I'd still feel obligated to get the next studio record...

Haha that's a freaking sick video. I've been to many shows where the crowd just goes pure insane. That's the risk fans have to take to see great bands sometimes. You just have to play it safe.

2007 Family Values Tour: Korn, Evanescence, Lamb of God, & Aiden :o :o :o Hmm...Lamb of God are kind of putting their credibility on the line by touring with those three. I like the first three, but I doubt I'd pay to go see this tour. I've already seen the first two at least twice and both are past their zenith for me. And I don't know enough Lamb of God songs to make their set fully enjoyable.
