Goes for adds 2.19
It seems like this band has been out awhile, but then again, I guess this is "US debut". I don't have much to say about this band except that they are a fine angular pop act. If you like the jagged guitar riffs of The Futureheads, Franz, et al, you should like them.

imo better than franz and america lapped them up. I would've gone with Here Comes The Rumour Mill though as this is a bit bland

They are like a ramshackle, piss-taking version of early Franz. I actually would be more likely to compare them to McLusky, but I wanted to list bands people were probably already familiar with in America.

well, good then! But most people probably haven't, so, for the sake of a broad & immediate description, I stuck to acts that have actually charted here (wait, HAVE the Futureheads charted here?). Basically, it's just to pique the interest of the reader...;)

I'm pretty sure they haven't, they've only released two singles here.

So have I. I saw a video of theirs on "Subterranean" I think in 2004. Since most of the program is now bands so underground that I've either never (or little) heard of them and/or couldn't care less about them, the only reason I remember McLusky is because they had an amusing video where a bowling pin was following them around town. McLusky is also happens to be two letters short of my mother's maiden name.
