So wait, why have we all been calling it "Jesus Christ" all this time when officially it's just "Jesus"?

So wait, why have we all been calling it "Jesus Christ" all this time when officially it's just "Jesus"? Because it's not. I mean, yes, it is "Jesus" on the single and I believe on Mediabase Charts as well, but on the album liner notes, the band's official merch site, and all online stores, the title is "Jesus Christ". It's not the only song suffering from this identity crisis either. Depending on where you go, "Archers" is called "The Archers' Bows Are Broken" and "Limousine" is called "Limousine (MS Rebridge)". Personally I choose to go with the former title job since that was the tracklisting that Brand New posted prior to the album release. Anything else is just secondary.

Maybe they should leave a song with such a title like that, on a CHRISTIAN ROCK station, and NOT Alternative.

And when someone comes out with a song called "Allah", they'll make sure to not play it either.
Ignorant.

I only asked because the copy of the album I looked at had the title inside as just "Jesus."

I think only the band knows at this point what the official name is, and they don't seem to be helping. Even on their MySpace they call the song "Jesus Christ".

It's amazing how you don't see Jewish people pushing their beliefs on radio listeners(an observation). It's called ignorance, taste and class...something tons of people know nothing about.

And I'm sorry you're so offended by people singing about what's important to them. I'm Jewish and I don't care one bit. In fact, I listen to a LOT of Christian bands. But it's something called respect, tolerance, and acceptance. Something a lot of other people don't know about. Like you.

But it's something called respect, tolerance, and acceptance. Something a lot of other people don't know about. Like you. I have to back you up 100% on this one. I haven't seen a more moronic post in quite some time. Anyway, I'm Jewish too, but should I not listen to Christian bands at all because I'm not Christian? Some of my favorite bands like 12 Stones, Flyleaf, P.O.D., Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch, and the list could go on and on are known as "Christian Rock," and I couldn't give a rat's ass if they sang about how God or Jesus loves us all. I just care that they're an awesome band. Religion isn't that important to me personally, but it is something important to many people all over the world. So, if it's a big factor in people's lives, let them sing about it. Who cares, as long as the music is good.
