All Christmas All Year Long ??? Well, I guess it's better than some of their usual crap they play. So, what format would this become anyway, nothing?

Two questions about this 'flip'...
1)---Was this a typical rhythmic-loaded CHR/Pop station, a la KIIS-FM or KHKS-FM in Dallas?
2)---Do you think they saw the 10.0 share that 'Mainstream Hit' CHR/Pop powerhouse WNCI in Columbus has (and a TWELVE share in June!!!), and have decided to try and emulate WNCI?
Just wondering........

1) The station used to probably be the most rhythmic-leaning on the chart, but over the past year they had gotten better about playing a variety, but they still leaned slightly rhythmic. 2) I'm not sure what you mean by the question, but the ratings for this station wasn't as high as KMXV, Kansas City's other Pop station, but how would playing Christmas music all year long help ratings? In Nov-Dec. they'll be good, but their going to get little listening other than that, not to mention I listened to this station yesterday and they have really crappy Christmas songs, the only good one they played was Mariah Carey, and I fear that this station is ruining Christmas music for me and everyone in KC, I'm already sick of it and I haven't even heard one song in full, thanks a lot Jingle 95.7! >:(

www.radio-info.com/mods/board?Post=579421&Board=missouriTheRob posted: The Christmas music has already stopped on KCHZ. Now, I can only describe the music as the kind of music a Commodore 64 might generate. It's annoying! Every few minutes, there's a recording telling us "a void will be filled" Thursday at 5pm.

If they are finally going rhythmic it wouldn't be that big of surprise considering that's already what they usually play. I'll be listening at 5, watch it be something really stupid or just some joke, it is really the dumbest radio station in KC.

Their first song was Black Eyed Peas "My Humps," basically it's the same station minus Kelly Clarkson. ;) They are advertising it for the younger audience, "you don't have to listen to the music your parents listen to," this really isn't much of a change imo. Personally, I'm still waiting for a 100% Hot AC station, but I guess we do need a rhythmic station more.

I heard clips of those songs, but the first full song I heard was "My Humps," I'm not sure, maybe I missed something.
