Rhythmic WRDW "Wired 96.5" has started playing Fallout Boy, Lifehouse, Green Day, and umm.. the Verve Pipe.
No idea if this is indicative of an all-out flip to CHR, but the station sounds really odd with 10 rhythmic songs in a row and then Fallout Boy right now.

Wired 96.5 has been my favorite station in Philadelphia since it flipped from Hot AC in November 2003. If it does switch to pop, I'll still tune in. Not much of a fan of Clear Channel's Q102.

We'll see if WRDW becomes the only Beasley station on the CHR-Pop panel.

They just played System of a Down "BYOB". ??? LOL. Really, it's not funny though. It the only station I can hear songs like "Grind With Me" or "Here We Go" since the NYC Urban stations don't really play those types of hits. :(

Well they haven't completely changed. They're playing all the Rhythmic stuff too, and I think if they switched to Pop, they would still be very Rhythmic-leaning.
After System of a Down, they segued into 50 Cent "Just A Little Bit".

Thier pod-casting. People send in thier playlists, and WRDW plays them. ODB to System of the Down, they'll play it. I love it, because it puts so much variety in that station. Now, if only they could get rid of the "Wild Bunch", I'll be happy.

There should be another CHR/Pop- Q-102 should just go back to classifying itself as a rhythmic station (even though it does play some other things).

That 3 PM music block looks like the vast majority of CHR/Pop stations out there, including LOTS of those owned by Clear Channel.

Will Q102 go hot AC? Now Philly's got 3 pops -- Q102, Wired 96.5 & 94.5 PST. Radio One & Clear Channel have got hiphop/urban AC duos, such as Radio One's WPHI-FM (The Beat) & WRNB-FM, and CC's Power 99 & 105.3 WDAS-FM.

WRDW is NOT a Pop station. Again, they are podcasting all of those random songs. www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/rronline/Stations.asp?c_let=WRDW-FMAnd, if any station is lobel to change it's format, it would be PST. They're practically an alternative station anyway, just drop 4 songs from the playlist and boom...no more pop station.

Wired seems to have stretches during this podcasting thing when they're playing nothing but gold songs.

They tend to do an old school "podcast" sometime around lunchtime.
