This is the single off of Trapt's new live album due out August 21st. A video will be shot for it according to a message on their Myspace. You can listen to it here.

I think it sounds pretty good. Not that it sounds that much different than anything they've released on the previous two albums, but I can see it hopefully having some success which they surely need. After having three top ten hits on Alternative from their self-titled album and only Stand Up being the only three of the singles from "Someone In Control" to get higher than #20, they really need this to do well.

Not really, they're not on Warner anymore. It can do as well as they want it to.

And now it's been officially announced that Trapt are now on Eleven Seven Music, which is also home to The Exies, Buckcherry, Everclear, and Drowning Pool. Good choice on their part, Eleven Seven seems to be the label everyone's flocking toward.

If this were from a new studio album, it would probably fare a lot better. "Stay Alive," indeed. First Crossfade puts out an album called Falling Away, whose first two singles bomb, and then a third single called "Already Gone." Now after a tepidly received sophomore album, Trapt is putting out a new single called "Stay Alive." As the Guinness boys would say, "Brilliant!"

Well their last single was "Disconnected (Out Of Touch)" and the lyrics were oddly appropriate.
The video is going to be done in Claymation, which should be really cool.

And now it's been officially announced that Trapt are now on Eleven Seven Music [...] Eleven Seven is linked with the Alternative Distribution Alliance, Warner Music Group's independent distributor. If the album is successful, the band could be upstreamed à la Buckcherry.

I think they would be a solid group if Chris Brown wasn't over singing all the time. he just over does it... and I'm sure I'll hear about this but I think if he toned it down a bit, they would do better.

Too bad this isn't off a studio album, because it's way better than "Stand Up".

I love this song! I really hope Trapt has some success with it...I was so surprised their last album flopped like it did because I thought it was really good and way better as a whole than the first (although the singles from the first were better). I wish them all the best with this one.

It's weird, but Stay Alive is classified as being on Wind-up Records...is there a future soundtrack or compilation?

It's probably a typo of some kind since Trapt is on Eleven Seven.
