Chevelle's "I Get It" is #30.
...with 29 spins.
The Christian Inspo chart is only 20 spots, but the #20 there has more spins than the #20 on Rock. (As a side note, Hot AC is only 40 spots but the #40 song there on Mediabase has more spins than #40 on Alternative.)
I think I've mentioned this before somewhere, but does Rock really differ that much from Active Rock that it deserves its own chart?

Its #50 song has 11 spins. And then "Pain" is in the top 10 with "The Enemy" right under it. I really don't take this chart seriously at all.

Who gives a shit, honestly? The Rock stations primarily probably exist for classic rock anyway, not for new rock songs, which is one major reason why all the charting songs have such low spins.

Which is why this, as well as the AC chart, have no business existing. Because nobody gives a s**t, for nobody listens to those formats to hear new music. The stations just use new songs as pawns for their marketing strategy so they can legitimately say they play a bigger variety of music.
It's best that they keep the new material to a minimum too, since if I want to hear classic rock anyway I sure as hell am not gonna want to have to sit through some obligatory new Nickelback or Hinder song that I guaran-damn-tee won't still be remembered 20 years from now.

That's the reason I like this format. I think it is way better than "Active Rock". Look at "What I Want" in the top 5 there. I couldn't give a s**t about the Active Rock format, because it is obnoxious. A lot of favorites of mine do better here than active/alternative.

I'll give Rock the fact that it's more oriented towards classic rock artists (Bob Seger, Tesla, Rush, etc) then the other two, but really, why play new songs by them when the majority of them are forgotten in five years anyway.

crash, do you have any business existing? Honestly, I find it hard to believe a chart's existence could be causing much grief. Since when did music formats "deserve" charts? It's a pretty silly concept. The charts exist for those who choose to use them. Those who don't can eat Pop Tarts or go fishing.

There are people out there who enjoy the format, so they should never get rid of it.

That's my go-to station when 103.1 The Buzz (Alternative station in West Palm) very rarely has a bad song on. I still don't understand why Miami doesn't have an Alternative station, but then again neither do plenty of other major markets around the country.

I'm worried that, pretty soon, the alternative music format will become more and more like the Rock format....a format designed almost specifically for golds and recurrents.

I was looking up a song they recently added on Active Rock..and the station wasn't coming up. I searched for it, and it said "Rock" instead. >:( I would listen to 103.1 if it wasn't all static.

Yeah, I live basically the farthest north in Broward County you can go before hitting Palm Beach County and I sometimes have some difficulty with the static. It sucks that the transmission goes from about Melbourne to Fort Lauderdale because it's based in West Palm. If it were in Miami, the audience numbers would probably triple because of the much larger population in South Florida than the Treasure Coast. Plus, I'd be happier since I'd get it with no static period

Active rules, Alternative drools. That's a rather bold statement you're making considering that you listen to almost every band they play on the Alternative format :)
