This makes much more sense as an active rock single than "Used To" did. I mean...their latest pop single "Over You" is more of a rock tune than "Used To" is. "Crashed" sounds pretty conventional and it certainly doesnt stand out, but if they wanna get a 3rd single over to active rock, this is their best shot, and probably their last from this album as far as a song doing something meaningful at active rock.

"It's Not Over" hitting #5 and "What I Want" at #6 isn't meaningful? And what's this about "Used To"? Where'd that come from?

oh no...i meant another meaningful run at active rock...meaning in addition to those songs this is probably the only other one.
And I heard somewhere that "Used To" was gonna be the 3rd single at rock and I think this is a last second change. I know Music Choice was certainly under the impression that "Used To" was the 3rd single for Active Rock cuz they have been playing the hell out of it, and I thought I saw it somewhere that it was the next single to go for adds at rock, but you'd probably know better than I would if that were the case.

WPBZ played this last night on their "Dropping Trout" segment where they play a new song and ask listeners to call up and say what they thought about it. Keep in mind they never played "It's Not Over," so most people couldn't believe that it was Chris Daughtry. Once most people calling in heard that it was "the guy who was on American Idol," their reactions went from "Oh yeah that was not bad. It kind of sounds like Nickelback" to a "Dude, that song blows. Don't play it."

Crap, I wanted Crashed to go to Pop and just cross over to Mainstream Rock (like INO did)... I feel bad because this is one of my favorite songs in the album and this wouldn't get the attention of a full single. I was expecting them to release There And Back Again to rock... ???

I saw Daughtry in West Palm (Sunfest) and WPBZ was there covering the concert..I remember looking at their playlist after and realizing they don't even play It's Not Over, What I Want etc. lol

I don't understand why "Over You" wouldn't work here. It'd be a huge hit for both Rock and Pop.
Besides, this song is kinda boring.

Actually "Crashed" is not the last song from the Daughtry album that could do well on Active Rock. There are two other songs: "Breakdown" and "There and Back" where the latter being the best song from the Daughtry CD that should be released to Rock radio.

I think they should have surely released "There and Back Again", but this is good too.

This probably wasn't the best choice for Rock radio. I think a couple of other tunes would have been better, but that's okay. I see Daughtry's potential at rock as limited and they really need to release the hardest edged songs if they want success here. What I Want was a good example of that, and it did fairly well.

It still puzzles me why they didn't release There And Back Again at the rock formats... ??? Well, maybe they're saving it for next year?

It's not exactly burning it up, but it has time to catch on. I really thought this was better for crossover pop appeal.
