I don't usually say things like this, but is this a joke?

I don't usually say things like this, but is this a joke? About the song or why I can't find it? I'm being serious that this song is a damn good song. As for the other part, I guess I just wasn't created to find out how to open ports on routers.

It just seems stupid.
Forgetting that this kind of thing has been done before and that some of those stereotypes aren't even geek-related, this just seems kind of like the last thing that should be coming from a band that has continually failed to get much if any attention from the public. It's like they decided they weren't turning heads with serious songs, so now they're trying for jokes, and it's just not all that entertaining, especially compared to other bands.
Pyschostick and Dethklok for example are hilarious not because they're writing silly songs, but because underneath all that they are actually great bands (and Dethklok doesn't even really exist, so they're doubly impressive) turning their respective genres on their ears. This on the other hand, and I want you to be very careful with the words I'm about to type, but this sounds like the kind of crap that Blink-182 would put out.

Yep, I definitely have to agree with you there. For the kind of band they are, the lyrics are immature and more on the humorous factor than having much of an actual deep meaning behind them, but yeah I still like the song either way.

I love this song and I find it anything but silly. Seems this song may have been judged by a title but to each there own. I personally cant stand Psychostick.
this song beats the crap outta blink-182
On the side note I dont really relate much to the lyrics so i find it hard to sing with but the hook keeps me. They sound more to be talking about "nerds" than "geeks" and there is a big difference.

It's a stupid song. I don't see how you could possibly take it as serious. Do you not relate to the lyrics because you're a big tough macho man? That's a joke, by the way.

I dont really take the song seriously at all, but I like the catchy hook more than anything. Music isnt all about serious for me nor do I want it to be.
The reason I dont "relate" to the lyrics is because I dont go to Star Wars conventions and I dont have a pocket protector. I do however have some major geek tendencies.....like following music as closely as I try to, lol.

So if it's not serious and not silly, what is it? Peppermint?
