I don't think it's too early to start a thread like this...I see 10 Years is apparently putting something new out in March...
I'm excited for next year.... Flyleaf Three Days Grace Metallica Ra Thrice (2nd half of The Alchemy Index)
Any others I should keep an ear out for?

Yeah, NIN too. And the physical release of In Rainbows, NOT the box set. Also, the results of the Beck/Jamie Lidell collaboration and the new Streets album. Just to see if they can disappoint me any more.

I've been keeping a list of releases going to keep track, so this is fairly simple for me.
In alphabetical order, the more notable ones.
(+44) 10 Years 3 Doors Down 311 36 Crazyfists Alice In Chains Alkaline Trio All-American Rejects American Head Charge American Hi-Fi Anberlin And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead Anti-Flag Augustana Billy Talent Blind Melon Blindside Buckcherry Bullet For My Valentine Candlebox Celldweller Coldplay Counting Crows Course Of Nature Cursive Dark New Day Dave Matthews Band Default Disturbed Dredg Earshot Embrace Fear Factory Filter Flyleaf Franz Ferdinand The Fray Gavin Rossdale Glassjaw Godhead Green Day Head Automatica Hoobastank In Flames Jack's Mannequin Jason Mraz Jet Keane Kutless Live Lostprophets Mars Volta Metallica Mudvayne Muse Nickelback No Address Oasis Offspring OK Go Our Lady Peace P.O.D. Panic! At The Disco Papa Roach People In Planes Powerman 5000 Primer 55 Ra Radiohead Rammstein Red Rise Against Rob Thomas Saves The Day Sepultura Shihad Shinedown Sigur Ros Sinch Slipknot Smile Empty Soul Soil Soulfly Staind Story Of The Year The Strokes Sugar Ray Switchfoot Taking Back Sunday Tantric Taproot Team Sleep Theory Of A Deadman Third Eye Blind Three Days Grace Thrice Thursday Trapt Trustcompany U2 Unwritten Law VAST Vertical Horizon The Vines Weezer Wolfmother Yeah Yeah Yeahs Zebrahead Zox
Of course, this assumes that everything goes according to plan, which it never does. I expect half of these to be delayed until 2009, just because that's the way of things.

I would like to personally ask Axl when he'll ever be happy with any mix of Chinese Democracy.
For me, here goes: Thrice - Alchemy Index, Vols. 3-4: Earth & Air Radiohead - In Rainbows Nine Inch Nails
If Isis continues to record at the rate they have, there'll be one next year. Which would be the first after I became a fan.
Haha, I know that even if I anticipated as much as penance does, I wouldn't even be able to buy 1/4 of all of that. At least not during the year it came out.

The Bedlam in Goliath by The Mars Volta (the debut was huge..the other mediocre) Which other? There are three Mars Volta albums, De-Loused, Frances, and Amputechture. If you mean the latter, okay, but if you mean Frances, you're crusin' for a bruisin', buddy.

Gavin Rossdale said Feb when I asked him!
Of course if Shirley ever gets her ass into gear and The Vines better come back with a quality record.
Dirty Pretty Things also need to make a good album their debut was very so-so.

Rumors are Better Than Ezra are back in the studio. No word on what record label they are on nor when they eye a release date, but a 2008 album could be a posibility.

I cannot think of a whole lot off the top of my head that will be released in 2008 that has not already been mentioned.
It is about time that Sufjan Stevens, Wolf Parade, and Neko Case release new CD's.

I admit Frances has some segments that draw on way too long, like there's that one big brick of static I think either before or after "The Widow", but the songs themselves I think are fantastic. "Cygnus" and "L'via L'viaquez", and many parts of "Cassandra" are just ridiculous, in a good sense.

The noisy filler of Scab Dates has enabled me to handle the same filler of Frances in its entirety nearly every time. Dump the filler of Frances and you may be able to fit another song on the disk. Dump that of Scab Dates and you could fit a whole another concert. We all gotta watch what we're saying about the TMV though. Their stream-teamers are watching our every move! :o.

I think I'm most excited for Ra, Dredg, Metallica, Coldplay, The Mars Volta, Muse, Sinch, Dark New Day and Thrice's 2nd of the artists/albums listed. To add to that list, My guess is that Sevendust will have another album out at the tail end of the year as they are now putting them out every 18 months from what I can tell. Also, despite losing their lead guitarist, I would expect Opeth to have an album out sometime in 2008 as well, and if so, that'd probably be the one I'm looking forward to the most - a nice blend of neo-classical acoustic guitars and progressive death metal pummeling. And given Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater already released albums in 2007, I'm gonna need Opeth to pull me through '08.

Yeah, I can wait for most stuff, but now that it's been mentioned, I'm actually looking forward to hearing the next dredg record, seeing where they go next.

Two artists from Flicker Records: Pillar and Fireflight.
Fireflight put out one of my favorite albums of '06.

Jet recently announced that they'll be on hiatus, so I wouldn't expect anything from them in 2008.
