Nickelback and Fuel are already taking off on Pop what will these others follow? Isn't Linkin Park, Audioslave, and Dashboard Confessional going for adds at Pop next month? I think that Switchfoot could do really well at Pop! I don't know about Rancid though, some stations could pick up on it. What are all of your thoughts...

I think Linkin Park's got the best shot at pop. The familiarity factor of the band could help out.

Have you even heard any of the others? But I agree that LP has the best shot, followed by Dashboard Confessional.

Have you even heard any of the others? Well I've heard Audioslave, Dashboard, and Linkin Park. Audioslave is my favorite, but I don't think it has as good a shot at pop as LP.

Out of the batch, I've only heard Dashboard Confessional and Rancid. I like "Fall Back Down", though the song would definitely make pop if it was by anybody else, I doubt it'll crossover.

I think Dashboard will be a decent sized Pop hit if it indeed goes for adds. It's the most radio-friendly, and Chris Carraba already has a ton of teenage girl fans (and teenage boy fans for that matter too, although for different reasons). I think Dashboard generally appeals to fans of John Mayer/Dave Matthews even though he is a little harder than both of them.

I'm going with Dashboard. It's the most sunniest (sorry, that's the best word I could think of ) of the group. I've been thinking it could do really decently. As for the rest... Linkin Park could score a minor hit with "Numb" but I doubt it could come close to the hit "In The End" was. Audioslave's song is cool, but I can imagine some people saying it's dragging. Either way, I don't see this making the top 50 or top 40 I still haven't heard the Switchfoot song. >:( Is Rancid really releasing "Fall Back Down" to pop? If so, I guess it could work. It does seem like the type of song I could hear on pop. It could either peak at #11 or won't chart at all.

Rancid and Switchfoot don't have CHR/Pop adds dates, but the other three do:
Audioslave - October 14 Linkin Park - October 21 Dashboard Confessional - October 21

The Switchfoot song is really pop friendly. If MDs gave it a chance, it could be a decent hit for that band. Otherwise, without hearing the other songs, I would guess Linkin Park has a shot.

Linkin Park is most likely to do well, but I agree, if given a chance, Switchfoot could be a Top 20 hit.

Linkin Park finally has a song going for adds on Pop? :o
I voted for Dashboard Confessional because they're doing OK even before going for adds, plus I like the song a lot.
Rancid's is pop-friendly. The lead singer's voice sounds like... I can't place it right now but it sounds like the lead singer of a group that has had a big pop hit before.
I haven't heard Audioslave and don't remember Switchfoot.

It sounds like a bunch of people need to go check out Switchfoot. It doesn't bowl you over on first listen, at least it didn't me, but after that.....
That is one fine album they've done.

It's probably one of my top 5 albums of the year. And even though they're Christian, the songs aren't overly preachy, just good, solid pop-rock. I can't believe Switchfoot are actually winning this poll, though.

I'm really digging the new Dashboard song. I hope it does well at CHR/Pop.

the amount of hype that is going on Chris Carraberra is likely gonna translate into pop success.. the guy is exposed everywhere, so it wouldn't surprise me a but if he does do well

The fact that "Hands Down" of all songs could be the one to break Dashboard at pop is frustrating. >:(

I can't believe Switchfoot are actually winning this poll, though. They are considered a Christian band? I kind of wondered when I really listened to the lyrics. I think that hurts a band more often than not to be honest. I just like the music, and I agree that it isn't real preachy, more on the spiritual side.

I just can't see a song by Dashboard doing anything on pop. Not even top 50. I'm very surprised people are thinking that will be most successful.
Linkin Park is the obvious choice. None of the other bands had other songs that made the top 50 without going for adds. LP has had two.
I think the Switchfoot song sounds a little bit weird for CHR. I don't think it'll be a big hit (and btw, I was at their website awhile back and heard about seven of their songs and "Meant To Live" was the only one that seemed exciting.)
Audioslave has about a 1 percent chance of charting, and Rancid has a 0 percent chance.

I think CHR-Pop should play Rancid. I liked consecutive singles by Transplants/Rancid.
