Assuming it peaked at #29 but stayed on for 24 weeks? What happened to that recurrent rule? ;)

Wouldn't it have been 25/26 at the time. Yep, the recurrent rule was Top 25/ 26 weeks at the time it charted.

Well here is the full chart run...
Debuted on the AT40 broadcast of 9/14/97 40-39-34-34-31-30-32-35-33-32-31-31-32-32-29-(year-end break)-31-33-32-32-34-37-35-37-39-off Moved to recurrent on 3/15/98
I'm finding it hard to believe the song only spent two weeks in the 50-41's before landing at #40.

My all-time favorite rap tune. Except Notorious B.I.G. got most of the credit for this one.

My all-time favorite rap tune. Except Notorious B.I.G. got most of the credit for this one. I was about to bring that point up. Biggy was, technically, the main artist on the track. Puff Daddy and Mase were featured artists.

It was credited to The Notorious BIG due to the fact that it was only featured on his "Life After Death" album.

AT40 often cut out Biggie's verse to save time on the countdown as well, while still crediting him with top billing on the song.
