Face it 'American Life' flopped no matter how you look at it. I bet if Michael Jackson didnt go platinum it would be a flop! When a superstar artist cant go platinum it's a flop! I've noticed that all you do is come in here and bash Madonna. Grow up.

I actually agree with Chris there. They'll call Mariah and Michael a flop when they go double or even triple platinum but when Madonna is struggling to sell a million copies, they'll call it a "disappointment". That wasn't even my point. What I was talking about is the mere fact that all Adonis does is come in here with the sole purpose of bashing Madonna everytime. 3/4 of his bashings aren't even fully on topic.

When I said "American Life" wasn't a flop, I wasn't just talking about the United States. The numbers have been conflicting lately, but internationally, this album has sold between 4 and 6 million. Does anyone have the exact numbers? I don't think that several million copies sold constitutes a flop. Just an opinion though.

Michael Jackson - flop, because it was expensive to produce and the return was laughable.
Mariah Carey - disappointment, tons of promotion yet the sales were just alright.
Madonna - flop, its her least selling album.
Hopefully the radio version of "Nothing Fails" has more oomph.

Peaches said that Madonna asked her to remix "Hollywood", but she refused. In an interview with MuchMusic, Peaches said "It's a sh*ty song" Hahahaha!

Lets not forget Madonna had lots of promo and isnt fighting with her record company and doesnt have to overcome the damage of her image like Michael does which is my point. Not to mention all his singles charted in the top 20 and only one of hers even cracked the top 40. I am not dissing Madonna. I like her music but this sh*t is just terrible. Its laughable to think she would even consider another single after the first 2 flopped hard core. I guess the question becomes should you spend 30 million dollars on producing a good album or spend 30 million dollars on continuously releasing singles & promoting an album & singles that continues to flop.

Madonna and WBR are releasing a "new" CD of remixes on November 25th. It's called "Remixed. Revisited" and it includes remixes of various songs from the failed "American Life" CD as well as an unreleased song from the "Bedtime Stories" sessions -- "Your Honesty" (or something like that). Also .. she will be releasing an EP of remixes of "Love Profusion", "Nobody Knows Me" and "Nothing Fails" on the same day. So .. perhaps WBR will market this song as a "leadoff" single from the "Remixed. Revisited" CD? Whatever they do, however, this single is destined for DISASTER. The song is good, but, the failure of both "AL" and "HW" indicate a big flop!! The single "American Life" is by FAR Madonna's WORST single ever and I don't know how she (or the people at Maverick/WBR) could listen to it and think it was a "hit"? It's disjointed and has no melody. Worst of all the lyrics are insipid and nobody likes to listen to a rich superstar whine about the "horrors" of their own success. I'm a HUGE Madonna fan but this album is dead in the water and I doubt that remixes or unreleased songs can save it. She should MOVE on and go on tour in 2004!!

I still like it, but not as much as the original or the first remix. But hey, whichever version radio supports is fine with me as long as they pick up on one of them.
