I noticed there hasn't been a topic regarding this song here.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think within the next few weeks, "Someday" is going to suddenly explode on CHR/Pop and experience gains between +500-700?
With CHR/Pop this year leaning more toward Hot AC selections than Urban and CHR/Rhythmic compared to 2002 and Alternative acts (most notably Trapt) managing to make the Top 10, there is no doubt in my mind Nickelback will make the Top 5 eventually with "Someday", possibly earn their second #1.
In addition, "Someday" received about a dozen new Adds within the last seven days, and as every station begins to swing this single into full gear and make the Top 30 by the end of this week most likely, many stations may begin to put it into heavier rotation and thus "Someday" will take off huge.
What are your predictions to Nickeback's latest?
My Prediction: #2
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I've been thinking the same thing, it will explode within a few weeks, especially as many of the songs at the top or fizzling out. I think this song is better than "How You Remind Me" this song has a lot more pop flavor. I predict Top 5 - #4

I also believe that it'll accelerate in its gains soon. I really like this song, and I want it to make the top 10.

On the other hand, with many other Hot AC type songs in the Top 10, they'll squeeze Nickelback out of any room in the upper region of the chart. It's called the "Crowding Out" effect. I predict #22.

CHR/Pop: #15(though I don't see it ever gaining 500-700 a week) Hot AC: #8

Yeah, I think this song will do good. It's very catchy and pop friendly. I like it better than "How You Remind Me."
Thanks, Ben

HYRM was one of the most overrated, overplayed songs of last year.
